  • My husband and I stayed at Rogers apartment while in Grenada for the week. Roger was a thoughtful and responsive host who made sure we had everything we needed. The apartment is very clean and well stocked. We enjoyed cooling out on the balcony watching the boats in the cove. Had a fantastic stay - thank you Roger!

  • Roger is a delightful host. I stayed a month in the apartment, with gorgeous views of the bay from the patio and wonderful cooling breezes. You can walk down to the dock below and enjoy the sun while observing marina activity. They have a bar, restaurant, store, and book exchange. Roger picked me up from the airport and since it was late at night, he had purchased provisions for my next morning's breakfast. The apartment is clean and except for the oven (which will be repaired) was in good working order. It is wired for both 220 and 110 service, and there is air conditioning and wifi access (consistently in the kitchen/DR and intermittently in other areas). The island (reggae) bus pickup is located half a block from the apartment and I was able to travel all over the island via bus/walking. Cost is generally 2.50ec (1$us)-more for longer trips-and there are no transfers, so pay each time you ride....if you would like more information, please contact me and I'll provide details & tips. The bus drivers & tellers (assistants who collect moneys on most buses) are also helpful. You really don't need a car and after you see how they drive, you might not want one!!! There are local restaurants including the Little Dipper, a lunch stand (do try the Roti on Tues/Thurs), Taffy's-just off the road from the lunch stand, and another local fare one next to Taffy's which i did not visit. All of these are located SW of the apartment and within walking distance. There's also a grocery store about a mile down the road, ,just after a mangrove restoration site (and a few closer small shops). Alternately, you can take a bus to St. George and go to the market--a block or two from the bus station-where you find fresh produce for about 5ec ($2us) a bag, and larger grocery stores--Foodland is located near the Market and along the Lagoon, & there is an IGA in Grande Anse. My bag was stolen when i went in the water at Pandy Beach (north of Grande Anse) and my money and ipod were not recovered. Roger and his sister-in-law loaned me their computers to make necessary password changes to my accounts and then later to check my emails and verify there was no suspicious activity. He also called the police station on my behalf and helped me through the legal process. Despite some Grenadians insisting crime is unusual, it is not and you CANNOT leave your bag unattended. Although i heard of no violent thefts, opportunistic crimes are common and not limited to tourists. However, the experience would not dissuade me from returning to the island, for it is beautiful and the people are generally helpful and friendly. La Sagesse is beautiful and has lovely lunches--try their fish sandwich. The lunches at BB Craddocks in St. George are awesome, & nearby is a gelato shop--don't miss it! Do go snorkeling...suggest Native Spirit on Grand Anse Thank you...

  • I have had a great stay at Roger’s apartment. The apartment was absolutely clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything necessary. Roger and his family were very helpful, friendly and lovely hosts, who gave me great advice on things to do and places to see. They are open, easy to talk to and uncomplicated.

  • We booked at the last minute and Roger was very helpful and flexible and gave us some good hiking tips for the area, and turned on the water for the washer so we could do (website hidden) happened to be the hottest day of the season so far and so it was rather warm inside - with only a fan and no ac, however on the porch overlooking the bay it was very pleasant to sit and read and enjoy the breezes. The bed was comfortable and it was handy to have the stove so we did not have to go out. Also convenient to have 110 power in addition to the 220. Thanks for a great stay Roger!

  • I spent six days at Roger's place in Woburn and had a wonderful experience. I recommend it highly for anyone who is planning a getaway. It is very peaceful and convenient to transportation and shopping. I would gladly book this place for future vacations and recommend it highly to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in the St. George's area.
