My stay with Mark and Rafael was very pleasant. Mark is very considerate and will make sure you're as comfortable as in your own home.
The location is also perfect and very convenient in terms of public transportation. Should you choose to go sight seeing or simply walk down the block to grab a bite to eat, you'll be close to everything you need.
I'd definitely recommend Mark's and Rafael's place!
Comfy & Convenient, exactly as it appears in the picture!...If one scrolls down the list of reviews , one will find I've I've given Mark and Rafael the highest of marks on previous visits. It is no wonder that airbnb has also designated them as Superhosts.
Staying with Rafael and Mark was a very satisfying experience from beginning to end. They were excellent hosts and made me feel welcome.
Their home is very comfortable, in the excellent Mission district close to shops and many quality restaurants.
If you are considering this B & B you will not be disappointed.
I have fond memories of my stay in San Francisco enhanced by the accommodation provided by these two fine people.
First of all I received a phone call from Mark while I was still in NYC. I don't remember getting a phone call from any previous host before I arrived, so I was pleased before I got there. Mark and Rafael are wonderful hosts - ready to share their very laid back, relaxed home with you and make you feel welcome. When I got off the Bart, which is a hop away, I called Mark and he was out on the street to guide me to his house and carry my bag up the stairs. ( I'm 80 and I did not find the stairs difficult. ) I didn't read carefully enough and didn't realize that they have a sweet little dog.. But, good luck - not to theirs. Maybe that's b/c the dog was so quiet and stayed mainly in their room. Let me tell you that I LOVED the art work all around. I loved the paintings which changed with the light - some glowed at certain times of the day. I loved the furniture which looked antique and as if it was selected by a knowing eye. I loved the vases, the sculptures and the design of the kitchen area which was sort of like a restaurant kitchen. And I was totally comfortable in my room. Totally.!! The photo does not do it justice. Their home was spotless. Mark said that at times one might hear street noises. I heard not a sound. It was quiet and restful. And I was there for 10 days, so I imagine I would have heard noise. Transportation to everything was really convenient. And you can find whatever you want very close at hand - even fruit stands right on the corner.
I had a wonderful stay at Mark and Rafael's place. The room was lovely the bed was very comfy. They both made me feel very welcome and would definitely stay again.
I loved staying at the comfortable and charming apartment of Mark and Rafael. Everything about the room was spacious and so pleasant as I used my laptop and did some office work in a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Mark was the perfect host who provided who offered me coffee beans to grind for my own cup of coffee and even carrot juice! I only wish that I could have stayed longer than 3 days. I would gladly return as the location was close to the BART as well as Valencia.
Thank you, Mark and Rafael ... and even Leonardo.
Mark and Rafael are lovely hosts - I was made to feel incredibly welcome. They were so thoughtful with lots of food and drink available. I was also given plenty of space to do my own thing which is perfect for me.
The location is great and the room is incredibly comfortable - I would definitely stay here again.
