Mark and Rafael made me very welcome. Although I arrived in the early hours of the morning it didn't seem to be a problem for Mark to be waiting for my arrival. I was shown great hospitality throughout my stay. Even on my first day Mark was kind enough to give me a ticket for the Bart to help me organise my week. The both also shared their wine with me and we had good discussions. Mark also very kindly printed off my boarding passes and a voucher for Alcatraz. The accommodation was very comfortable and was everything that it said it would be. Therefore, I would have no hesitation on recommending Anyang to stay there.
Mark and Rafael were incredible hosts. From day one, I felt welcomed into their home and was treated like a friend as opposed to an air bnb guest. I would wholly recommend anybody staying in San Francisco to consider staying with them. It was everything I expected and more.
Being with Mark and Rafael is better than being at home. Responsibility faces me at home - but at Mark and Rafael all the responsibility is lifted - and even better than that - I honestly feel nurtured. I am looked after. In the best way possible. If I need something, they go out of their way to provide it. We have a date to make New York Jewish chicken soup together in the future - so I can nurture them in return. I come from Brooklyn, NY to visit my son and his family in West Portal - inconvenient? Not at all - The 48 Portola bus runs right from 24th St to West Portal !! Easy as pie. And much cheaper ! The ride over the hills is very exciting, too. Can't wait to go back. I'll be visiting these wonderful friends as well as my family !
Mark and Rafael were excellent hosts. They were very helpful with my questions about San Francisco and their home was very convenient to get around the city. Mark made me a cup of coffee every morning, which completely exceeded my expectations! I would definitely stay with them if I ever return to San Francisco! The room was as described and perfect for my stay.
Can't recommend it highly enough. Mark and Rafael are generous, gracious hosts and good company. The room is great (as noted by another guest, the bed is very comfortable!} and I wish I'd spent more time in it, but the neighbourhood is too interesting to stay indoors. The location was perfect for me, but I suppose future guests would need to be OK with the dynamics of an area that's changing rapidly - with winners as well as loosers. It was great to be able to discuss some of these issues with Mark and Rafael, who are long term residents and care about their community. This was my first Airbnb experience and my hosts made it a very good one, but were also prepared to honestly discuss some of the issues around Airbnb that are currently controversial in San Francisco. I wouldn't hesitate to return.
Thanks so much Mark for being a great host. The place is clean, tidy and decorated with characters. Also the location is very convenient - BART, muni bus. I will definitely recommend this place for anyone who is travelling in SF. Thanks again, Mark!
If you want lovely hosts and the most comfortable bed in the world, make sure you stay with Mark and Rafael in their charming apartment. I felt very welcome in their home and would definitely stay with them again.
