About this listing

Like you stepped into a boutique hotel, hidden away in one of San Francisco's lesser-known neighborhoods. Comfort and convenience in a warm, relaxing environment.

The space

You will absolutely love this cozy, comfortable space tucked away in a unique corner of a unique city! Fully renovated in 2006 with bamboo flooring, Grohe faucets, subway tile, cherry cabinetry, flexible-control lighting, and Caesar stone counter tops. The contemporary furnishings exude warmth and style and the large windows let the light pour in. While this apartment is a mere 400 square feet, it has everything you need (internet, music dock, well-equipped kitchen, off-street parking) and nothing you don't (landline phone, TV - it's San Francisco, for Pete's sake. Get out there!).

The location is perfect for foodies, outdoor enthusiasts and sporting-types. Within a few block radius you will find restaurants featuring Chinese, Turkish, Indonesian, Burmese, Vietnamese, Japanese, Russian, French, Italian, Thai, Korean, German and American menus. Just to the north you will find the greenery, trails and history of the Presidio. To the south, the museums, gardens and ponds of Golden Gate Park beckon. A short drive takes you over the Golden Gate Bridge to the Marin Headlands, Sausalito and Muir Woods. Golf courses, tennis courts, and bike rentals are all just a short walk away.

Located in a well-maintained 6 unit building, you will find your stay here to be as quiet and restful or as ambitious and entertaining as you like. As comfortable as a boutique hotel, but much more affordable, this is a perfect spot from which to launch your San Francisco adventure. Welcome!

Our building is occupied by owners like me who value a safe, quiet place to call home. My hope is that you treat it like your home as well by keeping doors closed and locked and keeping interior noise to a reasonable level.

Several residents of this building, myself included, are very sensitive to smoke so please no smoking in or near the building. I would also kindly ask that you refrain from burning candles or incense.

San Francisco is embarking on a zero-waste program, meaning all trash must be sorted into one of three bins: (BLUE) recycle (GREEN) compost (BLACK) landfill. Please help us avoid possible fines by following the posted guidelines.

On-site washer and dryer are for owner's use only. If you require laundry facilities, there are several coin-operated laundromats and dry cleaners within a one block distance.

We had a great stay! Scott is very responsive, so that's a huge plus! We never had the pleasure of meeting Scott in person due to scheduling conflicts, but we always felt we could reach out to him at any time to get information we needed. Pros: VERY clean place. If this is something you look for (like us), you'll be very pleased! Great restaurants nearby. We walked to a ton of places including KoJa, Sakesan Sushi and the Farmer's Market. All very good! Good location. We were just a quick Uber ride to Golden Gate Park, which was fabulous! Con: Only one con really, parking. Unless you have to, do not bring a car. There is usually a garage; however, it was under construction during our trip. We had to bring a car for business reasons, and plus we like to go explore as much as we can. The parking situation is not ideal. There is street parking; however, you can only park on the street for a max of two hours and then you have to move your car. One day it took us about 30 minutes to find a spot. It's really easy to get around without a car, and like I said before, normally the garage is available. Scott did let us know this ahead of time - so we knew what we were getting into. Overall great, cute place! I would recommend it to those on business travel, couples or singles. Hip spot, but also very quiet - that's hard to find.

This is a beautiful apartment in an interesting part of San Francisco. Scott was very helpful throughout the visit, and it was very convenient to have a place to park behind the apartment. Everything in the apartment worked wonderfully, and I recommend Scott and his apartment enthusiastically.

this was the perfect place for one of the best vacations I've had in years. Wonderful apartment for 2, close to great neighborhood restaurants & close to the city highlights.

Scott User ProfileScott is a superhost.

I'm in love with San Francisco! The city welcomed me 18 years ago and I vowed never to leave. My favorite way to spend the day: throw down a blanket in Dolores Park with some friends and a bottle or two of wine. Currently, I'm working as a flight attendant and am trying to break into real estate sales. Free time is spent at the gym, connecting with friends or cocooning in my comfortable home.

As a host, I realize that most guests will already arrive with an agenda of things they want to do and see. I typically have a "hands-off" approach, but am readily available before and during your stay if you want help planning activities.
