About this listing
Like you stepped into a boutique hotel, hidden away in one of San Francisco's lesser-known neighborhoods. Comfort and convenience in a warm, relaxing environment.
You will absolutely love this cozy, comfortable space tucked away in a unique corner of a unique city! Fully renovated in 2006 with bamboo flooring, Grohe faucets, subway tile, cherry cabinetry, flexible-control lighting, and Caesar stone counter tops. The contemporary furnishings exude warmth and style and the large windows let the light pour in. While this apartment is a mere 400 square feet, it has everything you need (internet, music dock, well-equipped kitchen, off-street parking) and nothing you don't (landline phone, TV - it's San Francisco, for Pete's sake. Get out there!).
The location is perfect for foodies, outdoor enthusiasts and sporting-types. Within a few block radius you will find restaurants featuring Chinese, Turkish, Indonesian, Burmese, Vietnamese, Japanese, Russian, French, Italian, Thai, Korean, German and American menus. Just to the north you will find the greenery, trails and history of the Presidio. To the south, the museums, gardens and ponds of Golden Gate Park beckon. A short drive takes you over the Golden Gate Bridge to the Marin Headlands, Sausalito and Muir Woods. Golf courses, tennis courts, and bike rentals are all just a short walk away.
Located in a well-maintained 6 unit building, you will find your stay here to be as quiet and restful or as ambitious and entertaining as you like. As comfortable as a boutique hotel, but much more affordable, this is a perfect spot from which to launch your San Francisco adventure. Welcome!
Guests have access to my entire (albeit, small) apartment and the garage, if parking is needed.
Interaction with Guests
Typically, I exchange several emails with guests prior to their arrival to ensure all the details are worked out. After their first night, I call or text to make sure they have everything they need and make sure they know I'm available if needed.
The Richmond is off the beaten path for most tourists, but has so much to offer in the way of restaurants and easy access to parks and the Golden Gate Bridge. It's the perfect blend of residential and commercial and quiet enough to ensure you have a peaceful stay.
One block away along California Street there are bus stops for several public transit lines, including an express bus to downtown.
Other Things to Note
San Francisco Short-Term Residential Rental Registration Number:
Our building is occupied by owners like me who value a safe, quiet place to call home. My hope is that you treat it like your home as well by keeping doors closed and locked and keeping interior noise to a reasonable level.
Several residents of this building, myself included, are very sensitive to smoke so please no smoking in or near the building. I would also kindly ask that you refrain from burning candles or incense.
San Francisco is embarking on a zero-waste program, meaning all trash must be sorted into one of three bins: (BLUE) recycle (GREEN) compost (BLACK) landfill. Please help us avoid possible fines by following the posted guidelines.
On-site washer and dryer are for owner's use only. If you require laundry facilities, there are several coin-operated laundromats and dry cleaners within a one block distance.
I'm in love with San Francisco! The city welcomed me 18 years ago and I vowed never to leave. My favorite way to spend the day: throw down a blanket in Dolores Park with some friends and a bottle or two of wine. Currently, I'm working as a flight attendant and am trying to break into real estate sales. Free time is spent at the gym, connecting with friends or cocooning in my comfortable home.
As a host, I realize that most guests will already arrive with an agenda of things they want to do and see. I typically have a "hands-off" approach, but am readily available before and during your stay if you want help planning activities.
