Come visit Flatbush. For music buffs, I'm a skip and trot from Erasmus Hall High --where Barbara Streisand and Neil Diamond graduated.
This neighborhood has a diversity of people and architecture. Try a dollar van to tell your friends back about.
Another view of the sofa that shows the 4 big cushions for your head or legs. Small side tables holds magazines.
Unwind from a day of conferencing, sight-seeing, or otherwise in a clean, attractive apartment in a recently renovated walk-up building with awning.
You'll sleep on a sofabed--covered in clean sheets--that can accommodate two people. Clean up in a full-size bathroom with electric outlets and a window. You can keep beverages in the refrigerator. There are several clean, moderately priced Halal, Chinese, Latino, New American, and Caribbean restaurants to choose from.
The building is located in between the B/Q and 2/5 subway lines and 1 block from the Flatbush Ave. bus and the notorious dollar vans.
I'm willing to give you a short tour of Flatbush, Ditmas Park, & East Flatbush.
I have a cat that's friendly but not intrusive and the same is true about me :-) Nonsmoking women preferred.
You may use the PC to check your flight, etc.
Watch TV and put your food in the refrigerator. If you love your own cooking, then cook and clean up afterwards.
Interaction with Guests
I live there so you will see me. I will give you your privacy.
It's relatively safe neighborhood. I don't notice drug sales. Some barber shops and beauty salons are open until 2 pm which is a comfort.
Architecturally speaking, 3-story brownstones and two-story frame houses mixed with 6-story elevator buildings.
We're close buses, dollar vans, taxis, and trains.
There's on-street parking.
Please leave your shoes in the entrance hallway.
This is a quiet building and I am a tame lady: please keep your music down, no partying, and meet your friends outside.
Please no smoking
Sorry no pets. I have already a cat to clean up after
Getting take-out food or purchasing a few food items is preferred. Will leave space in fridge for your things (please mark them).
I can't give you a key, so we must synchronize our comings and goings.
If you have clothes to wash, give them to me to wash in the basement or outside laundry center. $5 ought to cover a load and drying. If you prefer to hand wash delicates, you can do so in the bathroom and air dry on a rack.
I have one cat. Her food & water are in the bathroom. She perches on the living room window sill and sleeps in the bamboo chair or floor.
Sunday mornings, I burn sage, sandalwood, or frank n' myrrh.
Akosua lives in a nice, clean, and quiet house in Flatbush. Her flat has a nice atmosphere, it is definitely "clean and cozy". She was very friendly and helpful, towels were already waiting for me in the bathroom and she told me everything I needed to know right away. I did not see her cat, but at point during the night he curled up behind my neck to sleep, which was nice! Overall, a great first Airbnb experience!
My favorite travel destinations include any part of the world. I've enjoyed meeting the different people; eating the different food, seeing the sites, and becoming more human from the traveling.
As a host, I'm neat and will help you get acclimated to the city. I can give you a personal tour of Brooklyn, if you like. We'll use public transit and walking. If you want to bike it, there are Citibikes. Living in the city made of 5 smaller cities is interesting.
The kind of woman I am is fast walking, friendly, curious, and helpful. These qualities are assets as a teacher and writer. Very important: I have a fluffy male cat that's cordial. I frequently whisk my furniture.
