Quietly situated and yet right in the middle, with panoramic views from the roof terrace over Lagos´Altstadt and to the sea. One minute walk to the city, 10 minutes walk to the beach or the marina. A cosy, tastefully furnished house with Moroccan flair.

The space
The Casa Amendoeira is a newly renovated house within the historic city walls in the old town of Lagos and not even a few minutes walk from all shops and beaches.
Our house is not a typical holiday "accommodation": the Casa has been lovingly renovated and furnished to create a beautiful and comfortable "home from home" for ourselves and our guests. Warm colours, pictures by local artists, some of our furniture is Moroccan, the details have played an important role in the furnishing of our house. The two bedrooms (one room with double bed and one room with two single beds) are quiet, cosy and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped.
On the upper floor there is a bright and spacious living room with dining area and a cosy wood stove for the winter months. One does not have to freeze on cold days, also infrared heaters spread cosy warmth.
A highlight: our roof terrace with a wonderful 360 degree view for year-round sunbathing, as Lagos offers about 300 sunny days a year.

If you plan a longer stay than 12 weeks, let us know, for long-term guests we grant a discount.

Where you’ll be

Lagos, Faro, Portugal

The immediate neighborhood in our street are predominantly Portuguese, friendly and available for a little chat if you speak the language. Just around the corner is the pedestrian area of the old town with all its cafes, bars, restaurants and shops. The beach and the harbour are only a few minutes walk away. Even if the nightlife of Lagos is not far away in the midsummer - the Casa is far enough away to be able to sleep well in the nights - eventual party noise from "Downtown" is no longer to be heard with us. The location is optimal. If you don't intend to explore the Algarve on a large scale, you can confidently do without a car.
