I've used AirBnB a few times as a guest and loved meeting the people I met, so almost 2 years ago I decided to open my home to you, and it's been one of the best decisions I've ever taken :)

I welcome you for a lovely and relaxing stay.

The Space

I've traveled to almost 50 countries and Los Angeles is my favorite place to live: you are going to love your stay in our beautiful City of Angels!!

Whether you are a busy professional who wants to escape the monotonous/impersonal/loud hotels, or if you are someone visiting Los Angeles for a few days of fun & enjoyment, this is the place for you!!

In my beautiful, cozy, quiet, smoke-free 2bedroom-2bath 1100sqf home, with a huge 5000sqf zen backyard (with coy pond and organic fruit trees), and beautiful Italian decor, you will have your own:

Fully furnished private room (the one that's pictured here with the light grey walls, with a map of the world on the wall, and the teal furniture) with your own private bathroom (the green one), as well as your own private entrance in/out the house so you can come/go at your own rhythm and privacy anytime you like, peacefully quiet.

The modern private full bath is supplied with plenty of towels, bathrobe and toiletries like shampoo and conditioner, shower gel & other toiletries you might have forgotten, hair dryer, iron and ironing board provided; your comfortable bedroom comes with clean linens, sheets and blankets, and cozy posture-pedic pillows.

When you book this room, you will also be provided the following:

-wireless internet password
-access to washer and dryer (detergent provided), laundry times are after 6pm
-weekly maid service (if you choose to stay the week
-one set of keys. Please don't lose the it. They are high-security special keys. I will ask for $150 to replace it and the locks if lost
-electrical adaptor, extension cord if needed
-umbrella (rarely needed in LA)
-anything else I might have that you could use. Just ask!!
-free map of Los Angeles
-information on what to explore in the beautiful Los Angeles. I can also tell you cool local spots to check out that only locals know of
-full kitchen privileges with a full set of cookware and flatware (for those who like to cook!), a small shelf in the fridge, spices I have in my kitchen, and space above the fridge to store your breakfast items if you are here for more than a few days :)
-large 5000sqf Zen Garden, with coy pond
-plentiful and safe free street parking (I park in the driveway, you park on the street)
-the closest grocery store and drug store is a 2min second walk
-public transportation in Los Angeles is not fantastic, so best to rent a car when you land (I recommend you (website hidden) it or use (website hidden))

I live and work in the house. You will have privacy at all times, and you can always knock on my door if you need anything.

We are in North Sherman Oaks

As your hostess, I will make sure you have full directions to where you need to go and even happy to make suggestions of itinerary of activities for our beautiful City of Angels. I love love LOVE Los Angeles, have lived here 20 years now and will be more than happy to make recommendations for any type dining or activities...whether it be your night-life or yoga-life. I am a professional speaker (you can (website hidden) my TEDtalk) and business coach, using hypnotherapy as a key modality ~ I make my own schedule and often work from home, so I ask that we keep the home quiet and peaceful.

I am 42 and I have a 9 year old GoldenDoodle, a trained service animal who is the most peaceful and happy love bug! His name is Wellington, he is the star of a short film, he spends most of his days napping in my office with me, and raaarely barks (like...one a month...) No worries if you have allergies as his breed is hypoallergenic and he will NOT be going into your room (unless you ask him to come play with you).

I also happen to have a 2nd car, a wonderful cobalt-blue BMW convertible, that I may be able to loan you separately for much lower than the regular rental car companies rates.

I speak 5 languages (Italian, French, German, Spanish and, yes, English); I was born and raised in Europe and I'd be happy to help with translating recommendations, if English is not your first language.

We really hope you will come join us for a few days, as friends and other professionals like you who have stayed with us, either for business or pleasure, have always enjoyed the peacefulness of our home, its coziness and comfort in the midst of being so conveniently located close to everything we love in Los Angeles :)

For any questions, do not hesitate to reach out.

We look forward to giving you a home away from home.

Guest Access

You will have your own room, and your own private bathroom and your own private entrance, with a security key.

There is a fully stocked kitchen in the apartment (ask me about which cookware to use, so you do not accidentally damage the expensive one). Use the kitchen as if it were your own, but please tidy up afterwards. The kitchen is shared.

There is a laundry area with washer and drier just outside your room, free to use after 6pm.

Interaction with Guests

I live in the house. You will have privacy at all times, but you can always knock on my door if you need anything.

Getting around

Public transportation in Los Angeles is not fantastic, so best to rent a car when you land (I recommend you (website hidden) it or use (website hidden))

From LAX, aside from renting a car there, I recommend booking with (website hidden) ~ it's about $32 one-way from LAX to my house: you take it at the arrival section of LAX, give them my address, and they will bring you straight to my door (in about 25mins without traffic). They accept credit-card payments, and no reservation is necessary as they do a continuous loop at LAX arrivals.

Other Things to Note

Please let me know your flight landing time with your booking so that I can make arrangements to either welcome you personally, or coordinate with my meetings that day and leave you a key in an envelop with your name on it (which will be on the front porch of the house) so you can make yourself comfortable, until I get home to greet you :)

I look forward to making this a great, cozy and relaxing stay with Wellington and I!!

Brian, so happy you chose to stay here for your first Airbnb in the US. You were wonderful at communicating with clarity from the get-go, and I so appreciate that you treated my home like your own, keeping it all super super clean and cozy :) I am happy to hear you felt comfortable and at ease here. I very much enjoyed our chats and wish you well with your cool business! You are welcome back anytime, and Wellington concurs!!

  • Pina's hospitality, elegance, and the cosy place she offered me made my first airbnb experience incredible. The place is very clean, quiet and beautiful. The garden is my favorite part. It was amazing to wake up with birds' singing and the sound of waterfall. I admire the way she living. For the time I could spend in LA was limited this time, it was pity to me no such an opportunity to know her more. If I got a chance to be in LA again, the Pina's would be my first choice. Piña and Wilmington, I will miss you so much in China!!!

  • Piña is a great host and with Wellington at her side they make a mean Batman and Robin crime stopping, cancer fighting type duo!

Be prepared for a restful stay; it's really nice waking up to the sound of the water fall.

Thanks Airbnb for yet again connecting us with the coolest people on the planet. Kevin, as I've told you directly, you were the perfect guest for 2-3 weeks before your apartment was available again. As a guest, thank you for being quiet, respectful, friendly, and up to great things in the world! Enjoyed our nice long chats, as we can relate on so many levels, and can't wait to see the magic you create next!! I can tell I'll see you soon, how cool that we both live in LA :-)

  • Pina's lovely guest room with beautiful bathroom en suite was so peaceful and comfortable. The room overlooks a Zen garden with an orange tree right outside my window and a wind chime that sang me to sleep. This was a wonderful stay with a friendly, warm and helpful host. I highly recommend this a great place to stay. 5 Stars!

Thank you, Sandra!! It was a delight hosting you, and I am so happy to know you were comfortable. I know you were in the process of relocating to LA, and having you here 2 nights as a breeze: you were the easiest booking, and so great at communicating clearly. I loved what a "low-maintenance" and kind guest you were. Enjoyed our nice chat over morning cappuccino and looking forward to staying in touch once you get yourself situated in LA. :)

  • Pina had a nice room in a convenient geographic location for me. It had a separate entrance through the bathroom, and I mostly limited my time there in the bedroom. Because it was a business trip for me, and because Pina's schedule that week had her extremely busy into the evenings as well, I only saw her one morning. She (and Wellington) are pleasant hosts. My only disappointment was not getting the social time that I like about B&B hosts. It was just the misfortune of schedules. But I would return again.

    Response from Pina:

Michael, thanks again for staying with us visiting LA for work - you are such a kind and accommodating guest. What a bummer I did not get to see you as much as I usually see all my lovely Airbnb guests (the week of your stay was my busiest week this year, giving a keynote address and then jumping into an all-week seminar). I am glad we got to hang out the morning after you checked in. Thanks for being such a trustworthy and thoughtful guest. Thanks to you now every guest has an addl extension cord for their laptops and phones :) Thank you also for being so awesome with Wellington! Wishing you the very best on your journey. Oh, and how thoughtful of you to offer to help with my computer crash ~ you are such a kind guest!

  • Pina and her Zen Garden saved me. In an incredibly stressful situation of having to leave my apt quickly because of a construction issue and health code violation, I was looking for an immediate place to stay. I stumbled upon air bnb and happened upon Pina's place and am so glad I did. Pina provided me with generosity, understanding, and a beautiful and serene place to stay. It was the perfect place to gain some peace, privacy, and space. The room is lovely and is a perfect set-up with a clean and beautiful bathroom attached, a lovely garden outside your door, and private access. More than a wonderful host, Pina is a kind and generous spirit. I cannot thank her enough!

  • Pina was a great host. I haven't slept and rested this well in a long time. Her place has a nice zen vibe for relaxation and clear thinking. I was able to get some writing done on my book while I was there. The layout is cozy and artistic.

Thank you for being such a "low-maintenance" and quiet guest. Enjoyed our meaningful chats about your new book and healing modalities/prevention of cancer - a passion we have in common! • Pina and her place were the most wonderful! She was very welcoming when I arrived and made it clear to make myself feel as comfortable as possible! It was my first time in LA as well as my first airbnb experience as well. But within a day of staying at Pina's home I felt as comfortable as a local. She was always very helpful with any questions I had for her answering with great recommendations. Her home is also very close walking distance to a super market, cvs, and multiple restaurants and food chains which is very convenient for a quick meal. When I wasn't out venturing the city her home was the perfect place to relax. She had a extremely beautiful backyard that was very peaceful. Pina herself was very sweet and always helpful. Her golden doodle, Wellington was always great company as well! Staying with Pina and Wellington made my first airbnb experience and stay in LA both very enjoyable and relaxing! Would definitely recommend!

Good luck on your journey Vincent and happy to host you again anytime you are back from NJ! :) Maybe see you at Coachella next year!!
