Other Things to Note
the apartment is occupied by me & my very sweet, sociable, & well-behaved, 6yo, medium-sized, bully-mix dog. she sleeps with me, but is happily available for petting or snuggling, & has been a very popular guest favorite; see the reviews for plenty of information. she is very short haired & has her own kennel for when i am out if she is not with me on the bike, which is often. you do not have to *love* dogs, but you should probably just be comfortable around a social, easygoing, & very lovable dog. (:
flexible hours; can accommodate all types of schedules; no curfews. last-minute reservations happily accepted. check out my private-room listing as well; discounts available if both listings booked together. see you soon! ((-:

*common sense & courtesy required for neighbors & other guests. *all smoking outside. *gate remains locked at all times for security of neighbors, other guests, dog, & bikes. *i am always available & happy to help with any questions or concerns as needed. Thanks!!!
Yvonne was INCREDIBLE! The first time I want to give six stars for one Airbnb experience. The location was perfect, the neighborhood was safe at night, and the place was clean. Yvonne prepared piles of leaflets, information brochures and maps. Even if you are totally unprepared for your days in New Orleans, she will definitely help you to make your trip here enjoyable. In addition, my bus arrived early and left late, but Yvonne was so kind that she welcomed me on time in the early morning and let me stay until my bus come in the midnight. If you are going to New Orleans, staying with Yvonne will be your top choice.
Yvonne was very nice. She helped us find our way around New Orleans and had very good restaurant suggestions! The apartment was walking distance to the french quarter and busses nearby so it was quite easy to get around. We had a great time in New Orleans!
All in all we really liked staying at yvonnes places. First we were confused that the bed was right in the middle of the kitchen but in the end it wasnt a big deal at all they gave us a lot of privatcy and yvonne was a great host!! She was super flexible with the check in hours, helped with our luagge and let me stay for a few more hours before I was leaving for the airport. She also called the cab company. We loved loved loved the neighborhood!!! And its not that far to the french quarter eighter.
it is a 325+ square foot, multipurpose room, & even though no one else sleeps in there, it is listed as "shared" because there is a kitchenette at the end, & it is a pass-through room, like all shot-guns here. but, there is actually a lot of peace & privacy by effort & design. great having you! thanks!! Yvonne was a warm and welcoming host. She knew all about the neighborhood and was happy to share wine:) Poochini was great company as well.
It was my first time in New Orleans and not my last! I want to go back and hang with Yvonne. She is a gracious host and welcomed me each night! She will make you peppermint ice tea on a hot night!
I was down for a weekend wedding and I was the only guest who stayed at an Air B&B so glad I did! She shared with me more info about NOLA then the hotels did for my friends. She also helped me out with lending me a few items for my Swap tours and the wedding. I think the best part of my stay with her was spooning with Poochini! If you are a dog lover like me, Poochini will make you day!
Glad I stayed outside the French quarter, seeing another part of NOLA was a great experience. Yvonne can tell you all about the best coffee places, street art like BANKSY and local crawfish joints. I would recommend staying with Yvonne; she knows where it’s at!
Yvonne was very friendly and extremely helpful, despite being slightly under the weather and recovering from surgery during our stay. It seemed like she knew every restaurant in the city and could vouch for many of them. Poochini is a friendly, well-behaved dog. The location is pretty good; there's 3-5 block between the apartment and where the French Quarter really starts to pick up, so a bit of walking is required but it was nice to be far enough away for it to be quiet.
For the price, this was a pretty good deal. I do wish the pictures showed just how private it was, mostly the layout of the rooms next to each other. Noise from the owners and other guests was never a problem, though private conversations were sometimes easily overheard because, well, no door (and only about 10-15 feet) separated our bed from the front door in one direction and the owner's bed in the other.
That quickly became a non-problem as we became more aware of it. I think that's the main thing; if you're not surprised by it, it becomes a much more comfortable, enjoyable space. And, unlike the pictures (which Yvonne should update, not just the descriptions), the beds do have curtains around them which do offer a lot of visual privacy and block out a lot of light. Made a HUGE difference in making the space comfortable.
This is a lived in space, so, unsurprisingly, it was a little more cluttered than the pictures indicate. We didn't try, but it may have been difficult to use the stove--though we didn't ask and I imagine Yvonne would have been more than happy to assist however was needed.
So, again, Yvonne is extremely friendly and helpful, the space is a little less private than expected, but I think this was a good choice for my needs and I quickly became comfortable with the situation and assured that Yvonne was going to help if I needed anything.
