Enjoy staying in a completely updated, historic one room schoolhouse less than two miles from Ricketts Glen State park. Upstairs are two private bedrooms, one with a king bed and one with a queen bed. Downstairs features an open space with a full kitchen, queen murphy bed, living space, full bathroom, mudroom, and chalkboard.

The space
The school house is located on a quiet corner next to a former church. Custom cabinetry and furniture fill the space and there is plenty of natural light. New minisplits keep the inside cozy no matter the weather.

Guest access
The entire schoolhouse is for the guests. There is a small grassy front, back, and side yard, as well as a small deck out back to enjoy.

Two cars park end to end to the right of the apple tree, next to the schoolhouse. If you need more parking spots, kindly let us know.

Other things to note
I have one canoe stored at Lake Jean on the mountain. If you would like to use it let me know. The lake is beautiful all the time but sunrise and sunset are my preference.

Where I went to school: Kutztown University
Nicole and I moved to the church and schoolhouse in 2004. We had our wedding in the old church. I knew about ricketts glen from friends in college but had never been before moving here. The school was active till 1960/61 and the Mossville church until 1989. We have created a life in this place raising our 3 kids. I (Adam) still do woodwork in a nearby woodshop and Nicole is a photographer. So if you want family pictures in the park just ask.
