Dave and Stephanie provided arrival instructions ahead of time, making the process seamless.
Stephanie provided us with directions to a lockbox with our key and instructions for off-street parking which was convenient. The neighborhood was a little confusing with street names very similar. The guest house was full of charm and as described, with free wi-fi and access to apple tv.
Entering the guest house, The light and fan switches were very confusing, with no instructions on how to turn anything on. Usually this is pretty basic, just a flip of the switch but we found ourselves trying every light switch in the house to try to be able to get any light on. Which we ended up never using the lights in the main room, but figured out how to use the fans. There was a shared pool out back, needed cleaning though. May be due to it being early April?
When we settled in for the night, we wanted to relax and watch tv.
Having never used apple tv, we had know idea which remote worked what device. Had to text to sort everything out.
Our first visit, no paper products in the house i.e. paper towels and/or toilet paper. We were left with an almost empty roll and had to ask if there was more TP available somewhere in the house, which there was not.
Our hosts could only be contacted via phone since they were out of town both stays.
Stephanie and Dave were very polite and quick to respond however.
Water faucet in kitchen made loud sounds when turning on and spouted out water in spurts, obviously broken.
The guest house was decorated nice, but very minimal instruction provided and not everything was in working order.
The sauna was an added bonus. And worked well.
Stephanie got in touch regarding access to the guesthouse several days before we arrived, which was much appreciated. Although we didn't end up having as much time to lounge as we'd hoped, the guesthouse was very well kept. The sauna and television options were well above par. The neighborhood is quiet, fairly easy to navigate, and conveniently located near the strip. We had a great stay!
We never met the people hosting, but that was not a problem. Communications and instructions were timely, clear, and accurate. This is a beautiful place to stay. My wife and I enjoyed it very much. We had our own entry to the guest house. It was tastefully furnished. The murphy bed was surprisingly comfortable. The property has a lot of room. It even had a brand new sauna that was delightful after a long day.
Nice setting, excellent accommodations, cozy house, all as advertised. Thank you!
My girlfriend Chrissy and I enjoyed this place so much last year March 2014 that we had to come back this year, no questions asked.
(Refer to our March 2014 review)
Lucky for us it was available again this year which was the perfect setting being that we have a newborn and brought her along on the trip. We didnt have to worry about our little princess crying in the middle of the night possibly keeping our hotel neighbors awake.
It was more than the perfect arrangement/setting.
Looking forward to our annual visit come March 2016
We once again give this location a 10 out of 10!!!
This place was perfect. The background is beautiful and the whole set up is nice. Privacy was perfect and the furnace, shower and sauna were a nice touch. Not to far from the strip either.
I am an Interior Designer and my boyfriend David King is a professional musician. We live in a hidden gem of a neighborhood in Las Vegas just minutes from the strip. The homes in our neighborhood were built in the late 50's and 60's. Most homes are ranch style or mid century modern such as ours. We are active in the las Vegas scene and can guide guests any direction in relation to dining and entertainment.
