The Space

Fantastic location across from the Aquarium and the Niagara Gorge. A quick walk, half a mile, to the Falls themselves. We have FREE Wi-FI and are conveniently located near a supermarket and public transportation.

The house has three bedrooms and one shared bathroom on the second floor. The large living room and kitchen are on the first floor. It is fully furnished for you to make yourselves at home. The kitchen is stocked with all the items you need to make your own meals if you wish. If you are not into cooking, there are restaurants 1 block away on Third Street and more nearer the Falls.

There is free parking available nearby.

  • Carroll was expecting us when we arrived, she received us at her home office, gave us instructions for all the important things, tours, etc.

The place was perfectly located, close enough so walking to the town center was easy, far enough to avoid noise and traffic. The house was clean, so was our bedroom and bathroom. There were several brochures of places to visit in the common area. We did not use the kitchen, but it seemed to be well stocked.

We had a great time in Niagara!

  • Carol and Andre are very friendly hosts. We walked in to join them as the US unfortunately was robbed of victory in their world cup game against Portugal, and ate some wonderful peanut butter cookies.

Our hosts recommended some nice places to eat, and were very helpful.

Niagara Falls, NY is unfortunately a rather trashy place and I don't think anywhere in that town could be considered a 'nice location', but it is close to everything-- we just left our car parked and walked to the falls. We did feel uncomfortable walking back after dark and had to cross the street a bunch of times to make sure we were walking in a well-lit area.

If you are going to stay in Niagara Falls, NY, this is a fine place to stay, for the money, but to be honest I would recommend that you stay on the Canadian side, as it is much nicer.

  • We stayed two nights in the house Carroll and Andre. Only met with Andre, who was very hospitable. We liked the house, pictures fully comply with reality. Indeed, in walking distance to the falls. We definitely recommend this place.

  • We stayed one night in Carroll and Andre house.
We arrived unfortunatelly 45 minutes late but Carroll waited for us and explained where things were, what to see, how to get there and where to eat (A nice Indian restaurant).
Luckily we were the only guests in the house so that was nice.
The house is close to everything and it is a quiet neighborhood

  • We just returned from our trip to Niagara Falls, and we couldn't have been happier with our accommodations! The whole house was neat and clean, the room was very comfortable, the kitchen was excellent and well equipped, the neighborhood was lovely (very close to a beautiful historic district, which we enjoyed exploring).

We would definitely stay there again without a doubt! Andre and Carroll are sweet and friendly and were very helpful when we asked questions about the area.

  • We just stayed one night as part of a roadtrip throughout upstate NY but we had a very pleasant experience. Room is very comfortable and cleen, there's also some really nice common areas (living room, dining room, kitchen) which would have been great if we were staying longer than one night.

  • We arrived earlier than their usual check-in time but they gave us the keys right away. Carroll seemed really nice and she took the time to explain to us everything we could do on the American and the Canadian side at this time of the year.
The place is really 10 minutes walk from the American Falls and Canadian border so we never had to use the car.
The place was really home-like, very nice and clean.
The only issue was the cleanliness/tidiness or the absence of it (especially after using the bathroom) from the other guest(s) but you can never know how people are going to be like. As we only stayed one night we didn't bother.

I would definitely recommend this place and would stay there again!

  • We needed a room for a couple of nights near the falls and this turned out to be a perfect stay! It is as cheap as you can get with the location. It is just a 10-15 min walk to the American side falls and also to the rainbow bridge thaf has a pedestrian walkway to Canada. Carroll and Andre were excellent hosts that provided a worry-free lodging experience. There are parking spots available for those to who drive. There is only one bathroom between three rooms so make sure you are fine with that. We were the only ones in the house during our stay so there was no inconvenience, but I don't imagine it to be a big deal. There is a fully functional kitchen as well for those who might want to cook.

We are avid travelers and running this guesthouse allows us some freedom in the off season to do just that. Carroll spent most of her career in Human Resources but gave it all up (darn) a few years ago to open this guesthouse & hostel - leaving the wonderful California weather behind but gaining a wonderful husband. Andre is from Germany and we found each other here!
