Nice central location and yet quietly secluded from hustle and bustle of town. Cookies and herbal tea waiting for us upon arrival was nice touch! 4 poster bed was fantastic and plentiful breakfast was icing on the cake. We availed of the kind offer of discount aquarium tickets :) much appreciated!
The hosts were accommodating when my husband and I had to arrive later than planned. It was a lovely room and bathroom. It was wonderful to have a private bathroom. The sheets were very soft. We were grateful for the jug of water to stay hydrated through the night and morning.
My stay with Annemarie, Jesse and Jocelyne was beyond what i could have hoped for or expected.
I was warmly welcomed into the family and made to feel right a home from the first hello with an Annemarie to the final farewells with Jesse and Jocelyne.
I love love loved my casually elegant room with the four poster bed and charming pot belly stove to take the chill out of the early morning air. Sitting in their beautiful gardens and watching the sun set over monterey bay in the distance is daily pleasure i miss already :)
The bed is super comfy and the sheets and towels are all high quality with no detergent smell for those who tend to be chemically sensitive.
Every detail is considered here, from filtered water and the lovely organic breakfast spread to the ear plugs supplied for lighter sleepers (the stairs can be a bit creaky since its an older heritage home).
I highly recommended a stay and look forward to returning here myself!
You couldn't ask for better hosts than Annemarie and Jocelyne! The home is immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. There is an expansive outdoor area and the entire property is fenced in (with gate access for cars). The room was bright and perfectly furnished. The breakfast spread was delicious and appeals to anyone's diet. The hosts also provide member passes for the aquarium, cheaper than regular tickets and you're able to skip the line!
We were more than pleased with our stay. The house and property are beautiful. Annemarie and Jocelyn. Were so welcoming and great to get to know. The room and furnishings exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was great. A bonus was meeting other guests. Summer that means you. Our only regret is not meeting Jesse and having a chance to ask him about the many antiques he has restored.
This was our first air BnB experience. The arrival instructions were thorough. We were warmly greeted by all three of our hosts. Everything was as just as described in their ad. The 1900 house is well situated in an acre of gardens, on a highland from which the Bay can be seen. our room and bath were perfect. After a peaceful night we enjoyed a varied breakfast and conversation with three other guests. Then we left. It was great!
The room was extremely comfortable, and the setup of the entire house was very professional. It was a nice plus to have free breakfast!

Jocelyne, originally from France, came to the US in 1958 to raise her family on the Big Sur coast. She and her son Jesse are a great connection to recommend local activities . Annemarie, originally from Canada, married Jesse and is still exploring California herself,
We love to travel, meet new people, taste foods from around the world and explore.
