The house is very beautiful, and host are friendly. They prepare wonderful breakfast. I would definitely come back again.
We enjoyed our stay at Jesse and Annemarie's beautiful home. They have put much effort to make guests feel at home. The entire home was very clean, the breakfast was delicious, and everything was very well organized. The room and bath are both large and comfortable. The living and dining areas were very cozy and we liked relaxing on the living room sofa with a cup of tea. It is a great place to stay in when exploring Monterey and Carmel.
We had a literally last minute booking and we really appreciate that Annemarie and Jesse we there to react very quickly. The property is wonderful: solid house, quiet, private parking, spacious bed and a large private bathroom - it was perfect for our one night stay as we were driving south after a long California journey along the Pacific Highway. But one could easily stay longer (the property is only a brief car ride from Carmel by the sea, and of course Monterey which we drove by en route to LA). Unfortunately we couldn't see the hosts as they were out on a camping trip but they surely must be great people!
A beautiful house/room that left us both very jealous! We didn't get to meet Jesse or Annemarie unfortunately as they were on vacation, however Ellen (their employee/host) was excellent and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was fantastic with a selection of healthy home made items. Overall a wonderful stay, simply not long enough!
Lovely home and beautiful room. Very comfortable. The house is old and therefore you can hear the creaking of stairs when people are walking around, but that's part of its charm.
My husband and I stayed at the Historic Landmark House Room #1 on a road trip from Orange County to Napa. The house was charming, the bed was super comfortable, and the shower was great. We drove into Monterrey for dinner (maybe 15 minutes).
In the morning we a nice breakfast in dining room and enjoyed the conversation with Jocelyn and Ellen.
On our way out Ellen took a couple for pictures Tom and I and they are some of the best photos we have as a couple 3
Thank you for a lovely overnight.
