One of the best things about living in La Mesa is the great weather. Even when the coast is socked in with fog, we can usually count on sunny days here at our home.
We are a short and beautiful walk to the La Mesa Village with many antique shops, cafes, gyms, coffee houses, pubs grocery stores, malls and much more.

The Trolly is very close and connects you with anywhere you want to go.
If you have a car we are located very close to all the major freeway entrances so that you never are very far from anywhere in San Diego.

I just spent three weeks staying at Ken and Mario`s most lovely and art-filled home. They couldn't have been more hospitable, welcoming, and attentive - they are genuinely kind hosts who strike just the right balance of being there for you while allowing for your privacy. I was visiting family in La Mesa so spent most days away, but I would take my early morning walk in their lovely quiet neighborhood, and then make coffee in the kitchen and have a morning chat with Mario or take my coffee and breakfast outdoors to enjoy the perfect weather in the backyard garden. In the evenings I would return to relax and unwind in my private bath and the comfort of the king sized bed. My husband spent one week there with me, then went away to golf for a few days and then returned again - Ken and Mario were very accommodating to our comings and goings over the three weeks. Since I had such a long stay, it was great to have their laundry facilities at my disposal anytime. La Mesa Village is just a few blocks away, a nice walk, which is the site of so many nice restaurants, shops, and cafes, plus is great access to the trolley to go into San Diego, which we did do and appreciated the convenience. I can't express my appreciation enough to Ken and Mario, and would highly recommend their place to those visiting the San Diego area.
We stayed with Ken and Mario for two nights, and the trip was amazing! They were extremely welcoming and we had great conversations with them about the things that they're interested in, restaurants and activities to get into in the area. Their home and their dogs are absolutely beautiful. The conversations we had with them and the serenity of the space really made the trip worthwhile.
Mario and Ken were incredible hosts who made us feel at home immediately. They are wonderful conversationalists and gave us great recommendations for food around the city. The bed was luxurious, and we slept very well the couple days we were there. We loved their sweet pups as well. Overall, we could not have been happier and would recommend their place to anyone!
My host could not have been nicer, excellent hospitality on there part..........the home was perfectly described as in the listing and the bed in my room outstanding!!!!!!
Enjoyed the town of Le Mesa and location was central / convenient to downtown San Diego and many of the local vibrant neighborhoods!!!!!!
Ken and Mario were great - they are the best Airbnb hosts we have experienced. The room and bathroom was perfect and they live in nice and quiet neighbourhood from which it is easy to drive to the attractions in San Diego. We will definitely come back if we go to San Diego again.
They are excellent hosts! We planned a last minute Anniversary getaway. They were great at communicating and working with our schedule. They were even kind enough to stay up late to await our arrival. They are a great couple! Conversations with them were intriguing and fun. Their home is a beautiful and an amazing place to escape. Laying on their bed was one of the most relaxing experiences. They gave detailed information of places to eat and go locally. The best part was ENJOYING staying at this lovely home! Come, you won't regret it.
We stayed for the weekend at Ken & Mario (Kenario)'s place, and it was a great alternative to staying in the bustling and noisy downtown San Diego. By taking a short walk to the trolley each morning, we were able to enjoy all the sights of San Diego, and still have a quiet and peaceful evening at the end of the day to look forward to.
We were treated with hospitality and had full reign to watch whatever we wanted on Netflix, which was a great bonus. We'll definitely be coming back next time we are in SD.
(Travel tip: Pick up a Julian apple pie from the Albertsons nearby before leaving town!)

I enjoy a quiet life with the time to love, laugh, travel and reflect.
My husband Mario is from Italy and we are going on 17 years together and we're having the time of our lives. He is a theatrical entertainer and we work on shows and performances together. Mario is also a dancer and has performed on television and in theaters across Italy and the United States. His performing has taken us to other countries such as Mexico, Greece, Japan and Sweden.
I am also a photographer and painter and have created a body of work that combines both of those worlds. Our Art has also taken us around the world in search of beautiful patterns and compositions. Our online sites are (website hidden) and (website hidden).
Mario and I have traveled a lot over the years and we enjoy meeting people from other worldly cultures. Life is meant to be experienced in a way that involves connecting with people and it's those interactions that make it exciting, enriching and entertaining.
We are extremely happy and healthy.
Life is good!
