Ana was adorable as was her accommodations. I only stayed for two nights, wish it had been longer. The location is sweet and low key as in not touristy.
Surf's up at the Mango Tree is just a short walk to an amazing beach. I snorkeled right from the shore.
Thank you Ana.
Simply put, we loved Annie and the Mango Tree Cabin! Don't hesitate-- this was our best Air bnb experience EVER! Only good things to say about our time here. It is a perfect room for the young (or young at heart) travelers ready to leave resort life behind and dig in with the locals. Annie and her adorable kitten Popcorn are wonderful hosts and give you the perfect amount of attention. Ask her about her spot-on recommendations... highlights including snorkeling on the beach just 1 minute away, surfing with Robert, paddleboard-yoga-ing with Renee, and the dive trip to Desecheo Island.
Can't wait to return :)
We had a great time in Rincon, and the Mango Tree Cabin was the perfect place to stay. Right around the corner from great restaurants, and just down the beach from snorkeling and surfing. Ana was a great host that gave us recommendations where to go for anything we wanted to do or eat. The worst part was leaving, hopefully we will be back soon.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying with Ana at the Mango Tree Cabin. I cannot say enough good things! The cabin was cozy and immaculately clean. The location is perfect - steps away from the beach, and 5 minutes from downtown. Ana was a gracious, generous, and thoughtful host, and had lots of great recommendations on where to go to sightsee, shop, and eat. There was also a darling outside kitten that was there to welcome us everyday. We hope to go back next year!
Upon arrival I was greeted by Ana with a smile on her face! I complete joy to be around! The place was ready on time and she even had snacks for us in the refrigerator! She is a delight to be around and the proximity to the beach is awesome!
The most wonderful thing is that I arrived with us as strangers and I left with her as my FRIEND!
Great place to stay and I highly recommend it - close to restaurants and bar - I mean walking distance close!
Ana is a beautiful person inside and out and made sure that I had a wonderful time in Rincon. She made me feel welcome right away at her charming space by the ocean. The location was perfect for a short walk to a private beach, swimming beach, and several cafés. It was just a short drive to shops, grocery stores, and many places to eat and in Puntas. I would highly recommend Ana's mango cabin for a beautiful beach holiday. Cheers!
We had such a great time at the Mango Tree Cabin. It was very comfortable and is in a great location close to a lot of great beaches. Ana was a fantastic host.
OMG what an amazing stay! The cabin was clean and cozy and provided everything we needed from coffee to beach towels, snorkel gear and even UNO! Anna is a wonderful host and concierge with extensive knowledge of the area and local events. Every suggestion she made was perfect for our needs. She set us up with amazing surf lessons and yoga from Samatahiti, deep tissue massage, great restaurants, happy hour sunsets and even some hotel pools to sneak into! We cant wait to go back to visit our new friends, especially Rosie!
Where do I begin?? I just adore Ana! First off, Driving into Rincon was not easy and she guided us in with patience and stayed on the phone with us as we figured out which way to go. Then she greeted us with a smile and there were little snacks and treats inside the cabin waiting for us. She is a wealth of knowledge about where to go and eat in Rincon to get the most out of your stay.
On our last night in the Mango beach Cabin, something VERY unusual happened...there were 2 large earthquakes! My husband and I were asleep in our cabin, and didn't feel them, but Ana knocked on our door and calmly woke us to let us know we had little time to get to higher ground in case there was a Tsunami. Ay Dios Mio! We followed Ana to a higher elevation up the street and waited out the aftershocks. This was a crazy experience, but I felt so grateful to be with Ana because she knew exactly what to do in case of emergency and she stayed calm and collected. A neighbor referred to her as "Mama Ana" because she truly takes care of you.
This situation will most likely never happen again, but it really made me feel a strong connection to Ana. My husband and I will never forget our time in the beautiful mango cabin on the beach or our new beautiful friend Ana.
The Mango Tree Cabin was the perfect spot for us to explore all that Rincon had to offer. Ana was a magnificent host who was incredibly kind and welcoming throughout our entire stay. She gave us the best recommendations and tips for making the most out of our stay (too short!) in Rincon. If you want privacy, Ana will give it to you but if you engage her with questions or just general conversation, she's more than willing to answer your questions about Rincon and/or just talk about life in PR! Ana is genuinely interested in her guests and wants them to have the best time possible. For someone that's traveled around the world, this is a rare find and something to be appreciated! As other reviewers have attested, Ana's dog, Rosie, is as sweet as they come and will be your buddy throughout the trip. The Mango Tree Cabin is in a great spot in Rincon. Its generally very quiet, secluded, and just a quick walk to a very private beach. However, the Cabin is just off the main road (413) so you can get anywhere you want to go very fast. The Cabin is just a 2 minute walk to a great beach-front restaurant called "La Copa Llena". We highly recommend watching the sunset there or from the beach directly in front of the Cabin. We really enjoyed the set up at the Cabin where we had 2 chairs and great hammock to relax in, plus a great outside shower to rinse off in after a long day on the beach. There is a great snorkeling beach right down from her house at Steps Beach. If you are a surfer, Maria's and Dogman's are a quick jaunt down the beach/road. All in all, Ana, Rosie, and the Mango Tree Cabin are an incredibly authentic and great way to experience Puerto Rico and Rincon. If we're ever back in PR, we'll definitely be making a stop at the Mango Tree Cabin to see Ana and Rosie!
