  • We had an outstanding experience staying with Mark and Iris! We arrived to delicious, chewy, warm chocolate chip cookies. There was a stunning view of the fall foliage from the sun room. We had a quiet, comfortable, clean room with our own bath, and a delicious breakfast the next morning. Best of all Mark and Iris were more like old friends than hosts -- warm and friendly -- and provided great advice about what to see in the area. We were visiting our daughter, a college student, and look forward to a repeat stay the next time we are in the area.

  • Let me begin by saying that Mark and Iris were simply wonderful as hosts. They made us feel like we were at home and talked with us for a while. They even cooked for us and bought us some cake. Over all this was a very nice experience. Both, Mark and Iris, are very kind hosts and we would definitely like to visit them again.

  • We had a great stay with Mark and Iris. Their house is lovely and they made us feel right at home with a hug when we arrived and again when we left. Iris made cookies and had chocolates for our arrival - how thoughtful and yummy! When we returned from our evening out they were still up and offered us tea and conversation. They asked if we had any food allergies (I have lots) and went out of their way to prepare a delicious breakfast for both Tim and me that was delicious and that we both could eat and enjoy on their porch overlooking the beautiful trees and mountains in the distance. We really enjoyed talking with Mark and Iris about their family and their travels. They are warm and gracious hosts, and we highly recommend them. We are so glad that we found them and hope to stay with them again!

  • Mark and Iris are darling hosts. Their lovely home is nestled in the most gorgeous settings and our room was cozy and comfortable. The breakfast they prepared for us was off the charts, complete with country style frittata, homemade apple crisp (made from homegrown Honeycrisp apples) and delectable coffee. We will definitely be back!

  • Mark and Iris have been amazing ! We really felt like being at home. They shared with us many histories of the region and advised us on what to do in the area. They even called to check if there was availability for an activity we wanted to do.
They live in a very nice house with a beautiful view on the valley and Stow mountains. The room and bathroom that we were using were very clean, and so was the whole house.
Breakfast was also really good. Iris is a great cook and filed the table with great and healthy food. Thanks !
When going back to Vermont, we will definitely check if Mark and Iris room is available.
We really look forward to meeting them again and share some good stories.
