About this listing
We are happy to host you in our relaxing place!
The apartment is a quiet first floor, with a huge available terrace (about 50 m2), where you can spend time and relax.
It has a big and comfortable bathroom with tub; parquet floors; free wi-fi connection and vintage furniture: we are passionate about art (50's and 60's style...).
We are set in the area of San Giovanni, very well connected with the centre by the metro stop "Ponte Lungo", (Metro A, the same of Barberini and Spagna square, and Musei Vaticani); We are close to the night's-scene area of Pigneto,
Tuscolana Train Station, and two of the biggest parks in Rome: "La Caffarella" full of green and yellow parrots... and the ''Acquedotti park'', where you can walk among the ancient Roman ruins.
Nearby to our house you can find a nice Bio Market, the same place where we get your breakfast ingredients!
We'll be happy to give you any suggestions about the city and more.
See you soon!
The only house rule is to TAKE OFF THEIR SHOES at the entrance. And please take care the cats dont go out :)
Its advisable to try to respect the expected time of check-in.
We are very bound in ECOLOGY: we do recycling and we use the electricity and water responsibly :D
You can use every single object and utensil in the house.
You can use the kitchen, just is preferable for BASIC repast
:) In Spring and Summer, our CATS should be free to go to the terrace DURING THE DAY. :) Off course this is not a rule, but a great KINDNESS that I ask to my guests :)
And... we enjoy a relaxing atmosphere...
Is it possible to smoking, but only in the kitchen or in the terrrace :)
See you soon!
Jacopo and his roommate (and cats!) were friendly and helpful.
The place itself was reasonable; in general, the furnishings are all fine, but not fancy. The bed is perfectly nice, but the terrace furniture is not particularly cozy for hanging out on, many of the doors are pretty sticky, the shower curtain barely stays up, and the room basically only has one electrical outlet. Nothing that's an actual problem, just not super nice.
The neighborhood is also a little more out of the way than I had realized; it's a short metro ride away from central Rome, but this whole summer apparently the metro line stops early every night but Saturday. I'd probably stay somewhere a little more central if I went back.
Jacopo was a great host, always making an extra effort to make us feel comfortable and welcome. He went out of his way to help us around. The room and the bathroom are clean, and the terrace is beautiful. The cats are quite a pleasure to have around as well.
The only negative thing would be the location since it is not very close to the city centre, but there are buses and trains available about 3 mins from the apartment so it is convenient if you're up for a bit of a travel.
Would definitely recommend this place for a nice comfortable stay!
Thanks Jacopo! Hope to see you soon!
Good location because it's easily accessible from the metro line and train station. Room was not as clean as the picture, but everything else was good. You have to be ok with cats.
On our backpackingtrip we still had to find a nice place to stay in Rome. This was our first time using airbnb and it was a great succes! Finding a decent and affordable place in Rome can be tricky. Luckily we came across this room! The room was nice and tidy just as shown in the pictures. It also had a nice balcony area! Jacopo was easy to reach by text message and finding the place was no problem. It is wel located nearby the metro which takes you to the citycenter in about ten minutes. When we arrived we were welcomed by a roommate who showed us around. Too bad we didn't get to meet Jacopo himself because our schedules didn't align. All in all: Great place, great location and a great host! Next time I'm visiting Rome I know where to stay ;)
Jacopo, thanks for the great service and all the best. Greetings Bram & Ingvar

About the Host, Jacopo
My name is Jacopo. I'm an experienced Airbnb host, 34 old, italian's teacher for foreigners. I live in a comfortable flat ( with one of my friend, Simon, and my two cats) and I'm happy to host you in my relaxing place!
The gay friendly aparment has a huge terrace (about 50 m2) where you can rest after visiting Rome. The flat has parquet floors, vintage furniture and a free wi-fi connection. Is located in a quiet and lovely place, it has a comfortable bathroom with tub. The house is in a central area called ''San Giovanni'', full of shops and restaurants, well connected with the centre by the subway (metro A, the same of Barberini and Musei Vaticani). "Ponte Lungo" is the name of the subway stop close to our home. Near us there is also Tiburtina train station and two of the biggest parks in Rome: "La Caffarella" and ''Parco degli Acquedotti'' full of plants, yellow parrots and ancient Roman ruins.
As italians I love good food, relaxing time, plants, and cooking!
I'll be happy to give you all the suggestions about the city and more.
Hope to see you soon.
