I enjoy designing this apartment as though it is one of my art pieces, many of my guests contributed their ideas to how it could be designed. I hope you will treat this apartment just like your own and take good care of the cleanliness and amenities.
All things are ready for guests. Including food and water.
Interaction with Guests
I am very proud that finally we will become good friends with all the guests.
The absolute center of the city, but the neighborhood is very quiet;
From here to anywhere is very convenient;
It has become a popular area of fashion.
Shichahai, Houhai, Nanluoguxiang, the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Tiananmen Square, Wudaoying, Drum Tower, Jingshan Park ...... whether you go in any direction, you can find traces of history and culture.
Traffic is very convenient，there are a lot of public transportation lines, including the subway and bus.
There are two subway lines, Line 2 and Line 8; There are many public bus lines; however, you'd better riding a bike, you will find a completely different Beijing in the HuTong.
Other Things to Note
Foreigners living in Beijing, the need for registration at the police station, I can give you help.
Love cleanliness, take great care of the amenities and live in peace with your neighbors.
I stayed at Laura's place for one month in summer 2014. The apartment is really nice and comfortable, it is well situated with easy access to public transportation and all the places in central Beijing.
Laura is extremely kind, helpful and takes care of you. She will respond fast if you have any need.
This was a wonderful place to stay, and Laura is a wonderful host!
The place is located conveniently close very close to the subway for easy access to the rest of Beijing, and while the immediate area isn't so interesting, you only have to walk for five-ten minutes to get to some more lively areas.
Tasty food is readily available, for instance the 煎饼 (jianbing) close to the subway station is the best one I've had. Another very good place is called 常湘汇 (Changxianghui), virtually just around the corner and down the street (the one with the Happy Christmas stickers in the windows).
The level of welcome and service we received from Laura was amazing. There were food, drinks and cookies waiting for us, a warm pot of tea, everything you need for the bathroom and so on. She also offered pickup and delivery to the airport, and to take us to dinner. We had a need to be alone though, and she was fully understanding of that. She quickly replied to any questions we had about the area, and gave us a lot of useful tips as well.
The apartment is awesome, we didn't miss a thing. Bed and sofa is very comfortable. We felt like home. I will recommend this place to everyone.
Laura was such a good hostess -- my own mother couldn't have taken better care of me. Her apartment is lovely, comfortable, quiet, and safe. It is a short walk from the Guloudajie subway station on Lines 2 and 8, with great restaurants and sight-seeing nearby.
Laura herself was kind, thoughtful, and generous. She went well out of her way to ensure that I had a good experience, including ensuring that there were supplies in the refrigerator and bathroom. She far surpassed any expectations I had, and I feel like I've made a new friend.
If you have any doubts about staying at Laura's apartment, you can let them go. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Laura!
Laura was an absolutely wonderful host for my time in Beijing. She is incredibly kind and thoughtful and very hospitable. She went over and above what was necessary as a host to help me settle into the place and the city. She has become a friend with whom I hope to continue to keep in contact.
The apartment was also lovely and really well suited to foreigners. I know from my previous experience in Beijing that it can be difficult to find a place that is clean and has modern facilities, but Laura has thoughtfully provided everything you might need. All you need to bring is your clothes! It's in a great location close to the subway and within walking/short taxi distance to some of Beijing's most popular attractions. I would highly recommend Laura and her apartment to anyone.
Laura was a fantastic and welcoming host, the best we've had through Airbnb. Not only did she come to personally pick us up when we arrived at Beijing airport, she even arranged a friend of hers to come along and translate for us. During our stay, she contacted us regularly to make sure everything was ok. On the last night, Laura and her husband took us out to a delicious restaurant where were got to sample some Beijing delicacies, including duck.
Her apartment was warm and cosy, our home away from home. It's ideally situated in the Gulou (Drum Tower) district, which from our travels was certainly one of the better places to be situated. There are ample Hutongs to wander through and just minutes down the road are some great local places for breakfast (the Baozi and egg soup are great as were the Ro bin (meat pancakes). It's also only 5 minutes walk to a convenient subway - which is a short 20 minute ride to the Forbidden City. A wonderful spot.
But by far the highlight was Laura - she is a wonderful host who we look forward to meeting again, either in Beijing or here in Melbourne!
Laura is a great host. She treats you like a house-guest, not just a tenant. When I arrived she had stocked the refrigerator with milk, eggs, bread and fruit, and she also made available a full supply of kitchen basics. The apartment is not new, but it is clean and full of amenities. Location is good. While the alley itself is not particularly interesting, it is only 10 minutes away from some very historic areas of old Beijing. Good value.
