I am in the Jersey Village area, which is a northwest Houston suburb. Roughly 25 minutes away from IAH and 25 minutes away from Downtown. Public transportation in Houston and around my area is not great. I am 2 and 1/2 miles (a good 40 minute walk) away from the Northwest Park and Ride that takes you into downtown. Translation being that guests with cars or those who really enjoy walking will be more likely to find staying with me enjoyable. I may also be able to drop you off at/pick you up from the park and ride during the week if you want to leave when I go to work and come back when I get off work.
There are a good amount of restaurants in the area. Houston Premium Outlets is 20 minutes away. 24 hour fitness and LA Fitness gyms are close by as well.
I work an 8-5 job during the week. Even when not home, I will make your stay as pleasant as possible. If you need any advice or suggestions about Houston, please let me know.
I do have a roommate in another guest room who keep to themselves and a shy cat who stays out of your way.
If you are international guests, I have a prepaid cell phone that you can borrow for limited calls and texts within the US.
I also have a Honda Accord for hire/rent I list on:
Pick up from the airport may be an option. The car may or may not be available, so if interested, please go just ask!
Private bedroom with walk-in closet, Private bathroom, Kitchen, PC with high speed internet and printer, laundry room. No extra charges for anything. Street parking is available in front of my house.
Interaction with Guests
I like to keep myself busy, so don't always have time to interact a lot. However, when I do have free time, I love being able to connect with my guests and do my best to make their stay awesome.
My neighborhood is a nice and quiet one with families and kids around. It is safe and friendly. If you need to commute to Houston though and don't have a car, this neighborhood may not be for you.
- Northwest Park and Ride is 2.5 miles away from my house. That can be a long walk or a short Uber ride. If I am free , I may be able to drop you off in the morning and pick you up from the bus station in the evening. No guarantees though - please ask if this is something you need.
- Buses 214 and 217 will take you into downtown. Average ride is 35 minutes.
- See (URL HIDDEN) or use (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps to plan any other routes.
I feel most alive when I am on the road. The wave of anticipation that rushes over you when you see the skyline of a new city on the horizon. The heart beating faster when you realize you may have taken a wrong turn somewhere. Seeing something so strange that makes you realize you are a million miles from home. The relief you feel when you realize you're actually going to be OK. It's a roller coaster ride sometimes, but it's fantastic.
My passions include traveling, exploring, eating, cooking, bicycling, skydiving, and meeting people from around the world. I enjoy reading, but my attention span makes me give up on books early. Unless it's a really good story. Same goes for movies. The Usual Suspects, Shawshank, Raise the Red Lantern. I'm horrible at knowing the names and songs of popular groups and singers. It's pathetic. But I do enjoy just going out to a local bar and listening to people jamming out, just for the love of music.
