Guest Access

Guests will have access to the gym on the 1st floor (at the cost of 10 HK$ per session - approximately US$1.30). There is a small swimming pool also located on the 1st floor (free to use) and is open during the summer months only, i.e. May though to September. There is also a full sized snooker table.

Interaction with Guests

I rent my apartment out only when I am travelling either for business or pleasure. I am contactable 24 hours a day via email and telephone. I also have friends that will be in HK to help out with anything if required.

The Neighborhood

I love the neighbourhood because of how central it is to Soho and the famous HK escalator. Bella Vista is surrounded by launderettes, coffee shops, restaurants, bars, supermarkets, pharmacies and convenience stores, such as (website hidden) is also an extremely friendly and safe city. Depending on your length of stay I would thoroughly recommend a walk up to the Peak and then around Lugard Road (providing the weather is clear), a trip to Kowloon for the Ladies Market, Bird Market, Fish Market and Flower Market. Ferry trips to the islands of Lantau and Lama are also worth doing. Oh and the Big Buddha!

Getting around

Public transport in HK is efficient clean and cheap. The MTR (Underground/Metro/Subway) is spotless and trains run on time and frequently. You can even use your cell phone on the trains! On HK island, trams run east to west and back again all day along the northern face of the island. Buses ferry people all over the island and to and from Kowloon and the New Territories. Taxis are plentiful and some of the cheapest fares of any major city. From the airport, guests can either take a taxi directly to the apartment at the cost of around HK$370 one way. That's approximately US$48. Alternatively, use the Airport Express rail service that shuttles to and from the city every 12 minutes. An adult far one way is HK$100 or approximately US$13. It is cheaper for children.

  • Thanks Pete! Great apt, top location. What can I say…. The entire process was effortless. Clear and easy to follow instructions and a great clean and tidy space. I will recommend Peter and his apt to my friends! Thanks again. Mick

  • Great stay in Hong Kong. Apartment is comfortable for a couple or single traveler. Be prepared for stairs, the escalator does service the area but you need to time your exploring around escalator times. Having stayed in Kowloon previously, the island is much better for travellers who are looking for a more upmarket area and fancier bars and restaurants.

  • Peter was an excellent host: great communication. Apartment was in a handy location, close to amenities and good size for 1 person. Only minor blip was I was unable to use the wifi. Overall a great place to stay in HK.

  • Peter is a fantastic host - accommodating, prompt with communication. Most importantly his apartment is exactly what you need - clean, cosy and convenient. It's located just off the escalators in Central. A few minutes walking and you're right in the thick of HK. Peter made sure check in and check out was seamless; fresh towels and a spare set of linen was available. It's safe (although you'll never have an issue in HK) and secure (there are people on the door 24/7).

I would highly recommend Peter's apartment to anyone travelling to Hong Kong & would gladly return as a guest!

  • This place is absolutely amazing! We loved it! A bit difficult to find for the first time. But people in Hong Kong are really friendly and they helped us with everything. So if you feel that you are lost just ask someone. Also Peter sent us a very detailed map how to get there, we just simply forgot to take it ;/.

Peter's place is very convenient and nicely located (close to the centre, 10-15 minutes by walk to pier). We loved the king size bed and large bathroom. We found dehumidifier, which make the air in the apartment nice and fresh. The whole apartment is large in comparison to others in Honk Kong. I really liked the views from 15th floor. I really recommend this place for everyone.

About
Hi, I'm Peter, originally from London, and have been living in Hong Kong for 3 and a half years. I am currently working in asset management and recruitment, and am often travelling for work and holidays overseas. Am happy to rent out my apartment on a short term basis, to guests looking for a cheap and quiet alternative to a centrally located hotel in HK, with all the benefits of privacy and being able to self-cater. I love my apartment, it's cosy and comfortable, please make yourself at home but take care of it! :) Feel free to contact me via email or phone with any questions and advice on visiting the city in general. In my absence, I have local HK friends living nearby whom will be happy to help with anything or show you around. Will be away over Chinese New Year from Feb 8th - Feb 23rd so that's when the flat will next be available. Will most likely be on holiday for a few weeks in June also. Looking forward to hearing from you and helping you settle in!
