We had a wonderful stay at Francesco and Alessandra’s house. The view was as breathtaking as expected, and the hosts as lovely as all the previous reviews suggest! Francesco went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our trip, fixing a bike for my use and lending my boyfriend his own so that we could get around the local area. Cetona itself was an idyllic village to stay in, with everything needed to get by day to day.
The tower house in Cetona was beautiful and we had a lovely time there. The views from the terrace are stunning. Francesco was really welcoming and gave us a bottle of wine and prosecco in celebration of our honeymoon! Cetona itself is a lovely town - much less touristy than many other places in Tuscany, and with a vibrant local square with a great market on a Saturday. We would definitely stay there again!
This house is everything you would imagine when you dream of Italy. From the terrace table overlooking the valley, to the meandering cobble-stoned streets, this house was a dream come true for us. We very much enjoyed meeting Francisco. He was VERY helpful and accommodating. Our favorite activity here was visiting Lauras wine shop on the way into town. The house is perfectly located in the town of Cetona. It is easy to walk into town for lunch, dinner or shopping, and was just a short drive to Sarteano (I would recommend the Costello tour). I would highly encourage people to check this place out. It is one in a million.
Lovely authentic flat in the heart of Cetona overlooking the vineyards. Great hosts.
This is my favorite Airbnb of all time. Incredibly unique, rustic property in a 500-year-old stone tower overlooking the hills of Tuscany. With an outdoor jacuzzi bathtub to boot! It is charming beyond measure. I wish I could have stayed much longer. Alessandra and her husband were wonderful hosts and set us up with a great place for dinner, too (Ristorante di Nilo). Any stay here in sleepy Cetona will be unforgettable.
We will remember our three beautiful days in Cetona living in Alessandra's unique town house during the long dark Finnish winter. :) It was just perfect: cool enough during nights, near enough to the centre and quiet enough for a peaceful stay. We especially thank Francesco for his helpful and good advice. We urge also everyone else to take the hike to Monte Cetona!
We loved our stay in the Tower House in Cetona. We didn't get to meet Alessandra but she was quick to answer any questions via e-mail. Francesco was wonderful! He stopped by frequently to see how we were doing and was very helpful getting us settled and oriented to the town. Ceton is a wonderful authentic town, very confidently located to visit other towns in Tuscany and Umbria.
