Sheena's Hut in Corran, Arnisdale - "probably the best fish & chips in the world" & tea / coffee / cakes & clootie dumpling. mainly open april to october & closes at 1700.

Way Out West Cafe in Glenelg - Excellent Coffee & Splendid Cakes in creative relaxing atmosphere. Open daily Easter to October. Variable opening in winter.

for extra charge the Host can take you by RIB to "The Old Forge" Knoydart - the most remote pub in mainland Britain. Excellent local seafood / Venison / Steaks. Always an adventurous outing. Price depends on number of people and individual itinerary. please ask Andrew.

Sitting on the edge of Scotland's last great wilderness, where the mountains meet the sea above Camusban bay rests Arnisdale House in the village of Arnisdale.

Arnisdale is a stunning, peaceful & serene crofting township on the shores of Loch Hourn, the deepest Sea-Loch in Scotland.

Arnisdale House is nestled at the foot of the majestic mountains of Bein Sgritheall looking south over the Knoydart peninsula. Rugged & Remote Scotland at it's finest.

Neighboring Arnisdale Lodge is splendid built in 1898 and famous as the ancestral home of James Bond's creator Ian Fleming. Arnisdale Lodge provided the inspiration behind the James Bond film "Skyfall" when Bond takes M to his ancestral home in Scotland.

The surrounding landscape is home to an abundance of wildlife with Red Deer Stags on the doorstep (literally) Badgers, Otters, Pine Martins, Eagles, Buzzards, Owls & Sea Eagles.

Arnisdale House provides the perfect base for nature lovers

& for Mountain & Water sports.

Hi I am Andrew I live in Arnisdale. I work as a Doctor at the local hospital on the Isle of Skye and also starting out as a Scallop Farmer. Check out "Loch Hourn Scallops" website for some great scallop recipes! The West Coast of Scotland is truly beautiful. Munro baggers / walkers can be dropped off by boat @ Barrisdale, Knoydart (& picked up again !) to access the Knoydart Mountains, Prices depend number of passengers & on your planned itinerary.
