2 blocks to Armstrong park
4 blocks to the French quarter
8 blocks to Bourbon Street
1.7 miles to the Superdome ( 9 minutes drive time)
Please note, this is a second floor apartment so it is not readily handicap accessible, and may be difficult for those unable to go up a flight of stairs without too much difficulty. Also, while we consider our location close to many nearby attractions, we don't recommend our rental for guests with problems walking, unless you are used to city walking, or are renting a vehicle. While we are only located a 5-10 minute walk from the French Quarter we've found that some guests with limited mobility have had difficulty getting around. New Orleans is very much a walking city.

Interaction with Guests
we are usually here to greet all of our guests in person and provide details about the neighborhood and local attractions. the rooms are also furnished with a guest book with maps, information about local neighborhoods, etc.
we are in the historic treme. this is a great diverse neighborhood with a long history. its an area of restoration where people that love new orleans are carefully renovating old houses that have fallen prey to hurricanes, termites, and time. we are just a couple blocks from the beautiful Armstrong park, and to a few local historic museums. the neighborhood is safe to walk at night (although visitors should be careful no matter where you are in New Orleans). we are just 4 blocks to the quarter, and another 3 blocks to Bourbon Street. there is a coffee shop 1 block away and a few convenience stores just a couple blocks away, but mostly the neighborhood is residential and quiet and we ask that our guests be respectful of that.
This is a nice quiet break from the craziness of the french quarter. Its close enough that you easily be part of the fun, but far enough that you can get a nice night's sleep when you're finally ready to turn in. We just request that you grant out neighbors the same courtesy and be respectful of their needs as well. Thanks!
