Located in the historic Fauborg Treme, considered the birthplace of Jazz/
2 blocks to Armstrong park
4 blocks to the French quarter
8 blocks to Bourbon Street
1.7 miles walking distance to the Superdome, 9 minutes drive time

While we consider our location close to many nearby attractions, we don't recommend our rental for guests with problems walking, unless you are used to city walking, or are renting a vehicle. While we are only located a 5-10 minute walk from the French Quarter we've found that some guests with limited mobility have had difficulty getting around.

Amenities:
Very soft and comfy Queen size bed, large flat screen tv, free wifi and basic cable, CD/DVD/Blu Ray Player, full kitchen (full size fridge, stove, microwave), double head tile shower, private entrance.

For additional fees we will stock the fridge/pantry with chips, frozen pizzas, ice cream, party beverages, etc. (whatever you request - so that you don't have to go to the grocery store!)

Street parking always available unless a parade is going by!

All stays require a security deposit in advance refunded at checkout. Security deposit will not be returned in the case of cancellations with less than a 5 day notice. in addition to Air BNB we can accept payment through other methods if that is more convenient.

Non Smoking apartment, but there is a convenient balcony just outside.

Interaction with Guests

The Neighborhood

we are in the historic treme. this is a great diverse neighborhood with a long history. its an area of restoration where people that love new orleans are carefully renovating old houses that have fallen prey to hurricanes, termites, and time. we are just a couple blocks from the beautiful Armstrong park, and to a few local historic museums. the neighborhood is safe to walk at night (although visitors should be careful no matter where you are in New Orleans). we are just 4 blocks to the quarter, and another 3 blocks to Bourbon Street. there is a coffee shop 1 block away and a few convenience stores just a couple blocks away, but mostly the neighborhood is residential and quiet and we ask that our guests be respectful of that.

  • Voodoo Villa was the perfect home base during our first visit to New Orleans. The location and amenities were fantastic, and Jeb couldn't have been a more accommodating host. There were beers and breakfast in the fridge when we got there, maps of the neighborhood and surrounding attractions, and a list of personally recommended bars, restaurants, and entertainment waiting for us.

Due to flight delays we were late checking in and out but Jeb was super cool about everything and went above and beyond in accommodating us.

  • Voodoo Villa was great! We will return in the future! Thanks for the helpful hints and a nice stay!

  • We had an excellent time in New Orleans and couldn't have imagined a better place to stay. Location is great and the place itself is beautiful. There is a binder with maps and suggested places to visit, and the hosts were very friendly. The added touch of local beer in the fridge with bagels and yogurt was very thoughtful. I would definitely want to come back.

  • We enjoyed our stay in the Voodoo Villa very much. The apartment is spacy and well decorated. Our hosts had stocked the refrigerator with water, yogurt, bagels, cream cheese and some Abita. The bathroom was fully stocked with extras that you might have forgotten (toothbrush, toothpaste, and soap).
The bed is a unique construction, very comfy, although a bit small for two grown-up Europeans (as usually in the US). For longer stays- a washing machine might be a pleasant supplement.
The neighbourhood is very diverse and interesting. We felt safe walking around, even late. Armstrong Park is just around the corner, French Quarter about 15 min. walk away. Street parking just in front of the house.
Thanks again to our hosts for making our stay so pleasant.

  • We had a wonderful time at the Voodoo Villa. The apartment is beautifully appointed and well arranged. Jeb and Scott have turned an older home into a comfortable retreat. Air conditioning was effective ( no small thing in the steamy climate of New Orleans,) the kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with a few snacks and breakfast items as well as a few bottles of beer and water. The bathroom was a work of art. Everything was spotlessly clean. Jeb and Scott were welcoming and responded to all communications immediately. The courtyard entrance was cool and fragrant with jasmine, and our own private balcony was lovely. We also loved the neighborhood, where many of the homes have undergone renovation, and neighbors seem to know each other. There is even a Little Free Library box next to the house. ( (website hidden).) A short walk takes you to the excellent Treme Coffeehouse, Louis Armstrong Park and the French Quarter. We had some work to do on the computer and had an excellent wifi connection. We come to New Orleans at least once a year, and hope to stay at Voodoo Villa again.

  • Jeb was a great host. Our flight got in super early and Jeb was very accommodating in letting us check in early. He left us maps and directions for his favorite go-to places. The apartment was also amazing. We wanted to move in! The location was perfect, just a fifteen minute walk to the French Quarter. This was our first time using Airbnb and we will definitely be back.

  • We really enjoyed our stay. The Voodoo Villa is a really cool place with everything we needed and more (the welcome beers were really nice touch). Great location too, right in the middle of the Treme with the French Quarter just a short walk away. Jeb was an excellent host, waiting around to meet and greet us and then giving us loads of advice on the best places to go for food, drinks and music. We would definitely recommend this place and hopefully will be back in the future!!!

  • My very first time visiting nawlins and jebs place was amazing! it was a cozy, clean, super cute. A comfortable place to unwind after a long day of exploring new orleans. Jeb was nice enough to leave us some snacks and beers in the fridge! Wouldnt think twice about staying here again!

  • We had such a wonderful time at VooDoo Villa. We even got engaged right in the outdoor common hallway! Jeb was an amazing host. Our flight was delayed, and Jeb had no problem with staying up and making sure we were all situated when we arrived close to midnight. He even pointed out some hidden food gems that the average tourist would overlook.

The bed was beyond comfy, the shower was one of the many highlights... I could go on. We plan on revisiting NOLA in the future and will stay here again.

  • This is our second stay here, and as usual, Jeb was a great host and the apartment was fantastic. It's a great place!
