The Space

I travel 1-2 weeks per month for work, which means you get a chance to enjoy Asheville from the cozy convenience of my 1 bedroom apartment!

Free parking is conveniently located behind the building, and it's only a 10 minute walk from downtown Asheville! It's also walking distance from Whole Foods, Asheville Yoga Center, and many other great shops and restaurants. It's only one block from City Bakery Cafe (great coffee, breakfast, and sandwiches).

This private apartment sleeps up to four people -- the bedroom has a full sized "pillow top" bed and meditation nook; the living room features a day bed with a trundle. The apartment also features dedicated wireless internet, full kitchen, dining nook, full bath, office desk, an assortment of DVDs to watch on your computer, ceiling fan, and air conditioning.

  • Zak's place was exactly what I expected. He was an excellent host who was great about staying in touch with me to ensure I would be able to find and check into his place without any problems. More than that, he was incredibly gracious and prepared his place a couple hours earlier so that I wowouldn't have to rush to get ready for the wedding. His place is in a great location to walk downtown. I will definitely book his place again when I go back to Asheville. Thanks Zak

  • Thank you Zak for opening up your place for us :) We had a most wonderful time and your place was perfect. Zak was a great host ensuring we got in and out effortlessly. The coffee shop down the street was a nice morning walk and getting downtown was no problem. Thanks again! Will surely return.

  • Zak's apartment was perfect for my 3 day stay in Asheville - very neat, clean, cozy and comfortable. I needed some quiet and solitude after a yoga workshop and it really offered that serenity.

  • This was my 2nd time staying at Zak's place. He is such a thoughtful host! He also always texts back right away if I ever need anything. It's such a convenient and lovely place to stay especially if you're doing any trainings at the Asheville Yoga Center. Only about a 10 minute walk. Thanks again Zak!

  • Zak was a very thoughtful host! The location was superb, safe, and close to downtown Asheville... walking distance if your up for a small stroll (15 mins). The apartment is simple, clean and right next to the city bakery for breakfast/lunch and charlotte grill for dinner.... yoga studio and grocery store just a block or two away. Yep, convenient and cozy! I had an amazing time in Asheville~ it's gorgeous area with super-sweet people. I really couldn't have asked for a better stay and highly recommend this apartment!

  • Location is great. Apartment is pretty small but can hold up to three individual adults (coupled up you could swing more). Great parking and awesome neighborhood eateries and the King James Public house is chill, has great drinks, is open late and a three minute walk. This place is best if you are in town exploring and just looking for a space to crash. Apt has two space heaters but can be chilly when it snows! The apartment was clean but stove was out of order- no microwave. Zak made every effort to try and get it fixed while we were there. He was helpful and didn't mind our extremely late check-in!! Cheers!

    Response from Zak:

Thanks for your comment, Janine. Glad you liked the neighborhood. Unfortunately you were visiting on one of the coldest weekends we've had here in Asheville in nearly a decade (or at least since I've lived here). Nevertheless, we've prepared better for future guests by weather proofing the windows and adding an additional space heater. Also, just want to clarify that it was the oven that was out of order, not the stove. We've since had the oven checked and it is now working fine. We also bought a brand new, state of the art toaster-oven as a back up, just in case. We're not fans of the microwaves. :) Thank you for your feedback!

  • It was a private and quiet respite to which I very much enjoyed. Zak's place provided everything I needed to spend a couple of days away in relaxation.

  • Zac's place was exactly as advertised. The location was perfect; it's only a short walk downtown or a $5 cab ride if you are feeling lazy. Zac was a great host and gave stellar recommendations on where to go and what to do. Anytime I head back to Asheville this will be the first place I will look to stay!
