Ros arranged for a driver who could take me to and from the airport for a great price. The room was ready and very nice including a living and dining space as well as the kitchen pantry area. Good wifi. In a really nice neighborhood close to good places to eat and shopping at Super Lake by easily walking a couple of blocks. The bus-stop is also on the corner of the main road. She has a very artistic eye and has appointed the space beautifully. The neighborhood was quiet. Exercising in the warm pool was great just outside next to the patio. A large lounging patio and also a upper deck patio with a good view of the lake. Ros was very helpful and a lovely person. I really enjoyed the selection of movie DVD - got to watch some I had wanted to see for a long time. Cannot say enough good things about Ros and her beautiful home!
Ros was welcoming and had a lot of information to share about the area. She was kind enough to invite me to her New Year's 2015 celebration. I was cold in the casita and Ros supplied all the fire wood I needed to keep it warm. Chula Vista is very quiet and has little restaurants down the hill; Ajijic is a 30 minute walk from the casita.
I book in the morning for the same day. I didn´t move in because the phone number she gave was not working (phone number hidden). You can try it and you will see. Also the sms she send me to my phone I couldn´t replay, it would not send to the number she was using to contact me. So I took another place in the afternoon.
But from 99€ for 3 nights (payed by paypal), she offered me 20€ refund. NOT OK!
Also she was informing by the way that the pool was out of order. But according to her offer you book a place with pool.
I'm so sorry for your experience. It says in the ad/description that the pool is being out of commission until about Dec. 10 AND before you booked I reminded you of that fact in case you overlooked it; you booked anyway. I also asked about your arrival, since I had very short notice, and you mailed me 2x about that with the latest being there in 1/2h (5pm). Your SMSs came thru on my cell - the number you pointed out. The refund was for 1/2 day according to cancellation policy, stated when you book. Again, I'm sorry; better experience next time.
Thank you Ros for a most wonderful trip to the Lake Chapala area.
The little casita is wonderful. It is not in the center of town, but within walking distance to many restaurants. The weather is wonderful and the casita stays cool during the day and at night. Ros had stocked us with bagels, cream cheese, fruit and juice, which was exactly what we needed when we arrived.
We had a wonderful time sitting on the rooftop palapa sharing wine and stories and the pool was a great place to cool off in the middle of the day.
Ros took us on a tour of Ajijic and was always available to provide any information we might need.
It was necessary for us to change dates by a day and Ros was totally accommodating.
We would definitely return to this wonderful place if we ever get back to the area.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Unique Casita, close to everything in Ajijic Mexico. Ros was a wonderful host, respected our privacy but was there for conversation and advice when needed. the casita is lovely and perfect for our needs. The gardens are beautiful with flowers and fruit trees and the pool was a comfortable 90 F.
We had a most enjoyable time staying with Ros. Her accommodations are true to her photos. Everything was very clean and neat and much consideration had gone into her guests needs. The bed was comfy, linens were clean and the kitchen had all the provisions for preparing light meals. The beautiful garden and pool area was open for our use. Ideal for relaxation after exploring Ajijic!! Ross is a hive of information on transportation, restaurants and what to see in the area. On the other side, she respects your privacy. Thank you Ros for making our first Airbnb experience such a good one!!

About the Host, Ros(Witha)
My favorite things in life is traveling the world whenever I can and for as long as I can . I enjoy culture, meeting new people, especially local people because they can tell you all about the little hidden gems in their area, unique experiences.
I have a need for creating, renovating, eco building (straw bale experiences, solar power) music, art, photography, designing, duplicate bridge.
I love the sunshine, but not being too hot, and being outdoors.
Also am living in Ajijic on Lake Chapala, Jalisco, Mexico in the winter and I host there also.
German is my first language (born and mostly educated there - civil eng.), a little bit of French and I get by with Spanish. Came to Canada to see Expo in Montreal (100 years of Canada, although I also went to the one in 1986 in Vancouver).
Still am enjoying the magic BC especially has to offer.
