THE LOCAL AREA
THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE IF YOU WANT TO EXPERIENCE LONDON AT ITS BEST!!!
the premier shopping street in Europe is under a mile(1km) walk from the apartment. It is one and a half miles(2km) from end to end and is a shoppers paradise. Most shops open 10am until 6 or 7pm. Many also open on Sunday from 12 to 6pm with late nights on Thursday. Oxford Street is best known for Selfridges and the other big department stores which are all found in the section from Marble Arch to Oxford Circus, along with most of the big-name multinationals such as Nike, Primark, Topshop, Apple, etc. It's more of the same towards Tottenham Court Road, but generally on a smaller scale. Oxford Street is said to be the busiest shopping street in Europe.
The section of Edgware Road near to Marble Arch is famous for its distinctive Middle-Eastern character. Lebanese restaurants, shisha cafes and clubs line both sides of the road, with some staying open late into the night. Marble Arch station is a few minutes walk from the southern end of Edgware Road.
Just a short step away from the tourist hordes, the apartment still has the feel of a real neighbourhood, the wealthy residents are becoming ever more attractive as Harley Street, the traditional home of England's best doctors, has recently become the heart of the UK's flourishing plastic surgery industry.
The beautiful architecture (the Wallace Collection is a must) and the open spaces of Regent's Park and Hyde Park make this a fine area to have a wander, when the sun's out there are fewer places in London as scenic and special as Hyde Park.
While Marylebone High Street is absolutely charming, lined with traditional pubs, beautiful boutiques and shops (including the flagship Daunt Books) and excellent local restaurants as well as an impressive mix of hotels - and a farmer's market every Saturday.
A short walk from Marylebone is the home of the most famous fictional detective in the world 'Sherlock Holmes' bachelor flat at 221B Baker Street and the popular waxworks at Madame Tussauds.

Location was perfect. It was hard t locate at first but the locals were really helpful
Check in was difficult, I did not have the email from carrie n I learnt it only from a room mate. thank god we met the cleaning lady, if nt we would hv been stranded outside forever! ; other than that. All is good!! Oh one thing. The smell from 1st floor up in the lift is unbearable. A combination of urine and pesticide.
The place was great! A small cozy room at the heart of London. A 5 min walk to the tube. There are other people staying there but in my experience they were nice and friendly. Check in information was detailed and informative. It help me since I arrived rather late at night. Will definitely stay there again if I return.
Great stay here! good location and met some cool people who were also staying there. The flat was very clean and easily accessible by tube. and bus. The flat is central enough to walk to many prime locations as well. We would definitely stay here again!!
Great place to stay, location is epic for the price. Can be noisy at times, but much better than a hostel. Clean and laundry facilities is great.
The Flat is more like a mini Hostel with 4 individual rooms (with your own key) but with shared bathroom and shared WC (WC and bathroom are separated). It was a funny experience and I recommend the place. The location is absolutely gorgeous!!!
There was a bit of confusion when my friend and I arrived at the apartment (We had asked if we could leave our bags before check in, received a response that yes we could but when I spoke to the host she said she hasn't said that) but luckily it all worked out and the cleaning lady let us into the building. It is a gated building and the entrance to the building is locked as well. The area isn't the best I've stayed in in London, but it's not too far of a walk to the tube. Technically there's two tube stops near by, but one is currently closed. It's actually not too far to walk to Oxford street and Hyde Park either. The room was a decent size. The shower and the toilet are in separate rooms at opposite ends of the hall which is nice incase someone is in the shower. The kitchen was nice and clean. It was a nice place and a great value!
Carries place is great for location and value, it's so close to the tube that takes you everywhere. Everything is just easy!
This apartment is more like a hostel - four separately rented rooms in an apartment sharing a bathroom and shower. It was fine for what we needed but it isn't your typical Airbnb experience. We never met Carrie but had no problems finding the key and getting into the apartment. The place wasn't as clean as I (or other guests I'm sure) would have preferred, and the hair dryer wasn't available as promised. However, there was plenty of tea, coffee, and cereal, and the kitchen appeared to be well stocked. The apartment is in a very international area with tons of restaurants and little markets. Overall, I'd recommend this if you're wanting more of a hostel experience. But if you're looking for a more personalized Airbnb experience, look elsewhere.
This is the final rate, including any fees from the host and Airbnb.
