THE LOCAL AREA
THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE IF YOU WANT TO EXPERIENCE LONDON AT ITS BEST!!!
the premier shopping street in Europe is under a mile(1km) walk from the apartment. It is one and a half miles(2km) from end to end and is a shoppers paradise. Most shops open 10am until 6 or 7pm. Many also open on Sunday from 12 to 6pm with late nights on Thursday. Oxford Street is best known for Selfridges and the other big department stores which are all found in the section from Marble Arch to Oxford Circus, along with most of the big-name multinationals such as Nike, Primark, Topshop, Apple, etc. It's more of the same towards Tottenham Court Road, but generally on a smaller scale. Oxford Street is said to be the busiest shopping street in Europe.
The section of Edgware Road near to Marble Arch is famous for its distinctive Middle-Eastern character. Lebanese restaurants, shisha cafes and clubs line both sides of the road, with some staying open late into the night. Marble Arch station is a few minutes walk from the southern end of Edgware Road.
Just a short step away from the tourist hordes, the apartment still has the feel of a real neighbourhood, the wealthy residents are becoming ever more attractive as Harley Street, the traditional home of England's best doctors, has recently become the heart of the UK's flourishing plastic surgery industry.
The beautiful architecture (the Wallace Collection is a must) and the open spaces of Regent's Park and Hyde Park make this a fine area to have a wander, when the sun's out there are fewer places in London as scenic and special as Hyde Park.
While Marylebone High Street is absolutely charming, lined with traditional pubs, beautiful boutiques and shops (including the flagship Daunt Books) and excellent local restaurants as well as an impressive mix of hotels - and a farmer's market every Saturday.
A short walk from Marylebone is the home of the most famous fictional detective in the world 'Sherlock Holmes' bachelor flat at 221B Baker Street and the popular waxworks at Madame Tussauds.

Clean as you go
The flat was just as shown in the pictures. The room was comfy and clean and so was the kitchen that provided everything we needed.
The room was pretty small, but fine for the short stay because all we did in the room was sleep. If you spend more time in the room, then it is too small. The room is located in central London, which is super handy. We did had trouble finding the key. When other residents went to the toilet, then our room was lit. That was a bit annoying. We had a great stay in beautiful London. Good price-quality range
Very disappointed ... very small, we could not open our bag without opening the closet.
No host, it is just like a "hotel" but worse: a toilet and a bathroom for 8 people ...
In short, I would not come back here and I would not recommend.
Only good thing: the price ...
Overall experience was good. The flat sits in a quiet neighbourhood with convenient access to the underground, shops and restaurants. Facilities is accurate as described on the page, clean towels, shampoo, free wifi etc. The room is different with the picture but similar, there's a huge walking-in closet as well. Before checking-in Carrie sent me the instructions of how to get the keys for the room. That brought a bit of confusion but Carrie was able to help me sort this out. I would recommend staying here.
My first bnb experience and it wasn't the best. After acceptance of our booking, I had asked to leave my luggages at the place as I had a morning flight in. "Ok sure" was the reply. Before my flight, I received her instructions on how to get the keys and replied to confirm our early check in arrangement but there was no reply. On the day of arrival, there was no keys to be found and I had to call her using the payphone to have her hang up my call halfway through. My plans for the day was kinda screwed up but thankfully we found another way to deposit our luggages instead of bringing them all over the city.
Instructions to the keys were clear and precise. Location was superb, 5mins walk to the underground. Room is as pictured (small), towels, shampoo and shower foam were provided. Good price for such convenience.
Thank you Carrie. We had a wonderful time in London. The unit was in a fantastic location and had everything that we needed.
