I'm a host that loves to host, so have no doubt that you'll be well taken care of. The beds are all very comfy, with nice, ample pillows, and fresh linens and towels for each guest. You'll have access to coffee and tea, and help yourself to the fridge!

East Austin is super trendy and also vibrant and diverse! You can get amazing craft brews and gourmet food a block away, while you might also see neighborhood chickens roaming around the streets. This is a great location, close to downtown in authentic East Austin neighborhood with some of the best restaurants and bars in town a short walk away! It's a quick 10-minute walk to the Metro rail train that will take you right downtown, and it's also very convenient for buses.

While the house is 1200sq ft, the bedrooms are quite spacious, with the living room being more cosy.

Much of my furniture and decor was chosen by the Property Brothers (of HGTV fame) since my last house was remodeled by the brothers.

New regulations require a maximum of 6 guests. Please contact me if you have more coming.

Interaction with guests

I'll be on-call for anything you need! I'll let you in and give you the keys in person, and then you're left to enjoy your Austin vacation home.

The neighborhood

This East Side neighborhood is in a charming, funky area, fulll of eclectic old cottages and bigger new-builds. People are so friendly here, so give 'em a wave and say hello. If you're used to living in a more gated community, this will be a refreshing change! You might see a rooster run across the street, people biking with their dogs, and kids laughing and playing. It's really a very charming neighborhood.

You'll be close to MLK and Manor, where there are tons of hip East Austin restaurants and bars a short walk away. Some of my favorites are the Juiceland that just opened up on MLK, Austin Daily Press for gourmet sandwiches and tacos, and Salty Sow for happy hour! Also try Dai Due, rated the best new restaurant of 2014 - just a 10-15 minute walk away.

Getting around

Uber and Lyft are no longer in Austin, but Fasten and Fare are basically the same. Just download their app and you're good to go.

Please do try the train! The station is very close, and it's fun!
