Thank you for considering a stay with us ! Its always humbling to be just a small part of the planning of vacation trips, so WELCOME and we look forward to sharing our island lifestyle with you ! (Note calendar does fill up but look to the right under "other listings" for the full cottage and Bamboo Studio !) All have private kitchens, entry and parking etc.
North Shore Maui is a great launching point for many activities, including Twin Falls 10 minutes away, whale watching, surfing, sailing, hiking or just relaxing on one of the longest sandy stretch of beach in Hawaii at Baldwin Beach Park, just to name a few.
The Guest House/farm stay is a private entry 2 room addition to our long term rental. Features include natural stone bath, its own sitting deck and spectacular views. Awesome sunrise and sunsets and at night, starry nights filled with shooting stars.
This unit includes mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot,tea kettle, toaster oven and basic dishware and utensils. Outside on the covered deck is a newly constructed counter with sink and outdoor gas camp stove. A cooler and beach towels are provided in each room.
There is a Queen sized bed in the main bedroom and a single set up in the front/living room so sleeps 3 comfortably. The bathroom is accessed through the main bedroom. Please note we have a strict no smoking policy. Candles and incense are also not allowed due to safety and health reasons.
There are many great walking trails both above us and below us, check with me and I'll get you pointed in the right direction. The infamous Jaws surf spot, Ho'okipa Beach and Twin Falls is located within a short distance. We are approximately 13 miles/25 minutes to/from the airport.
Truthfully, we know how important vacation time is in our busy careers and families, and so we go the extra for our guests by encouraging our "On-Call" texting service to steer you in the right direction so you can tap into the often overlooked behind the scenes activities, whether its attending a Maui Arts and Cutural Center activity to a free booking at the Nature Center's Endangered bird sanctuary up in Hosmer's Grove at Mt. Haleakala, we've done it all. The previous guest feedback pretty much tell the underline woven story of the adventures that have come through our hill top place.
A final note we'd like to add is that we are located on a tropical island so bugs, insects and such are common every where even in the resort and condo areas, though we do our best to eliminate them or keep them at bay.
Come, relax and reconnect, sleep in and take nature walks, gentle conversations on life and redirection!
A car rental is highly recommended if not a must for this area.

This was a great location after spending a week in Kihei. Randy, we missed meeting you, but April was a wonderful hostess. Because of wet, windy weather and mosquitos, it was difficult to use the deck as we had envisioned. Next time will will likely book the cottage.
Olinda bonsai guest house is conveniently and beautifully situated on the island of Maui. April and Randy are incredibly gracious hosts, who go out of their way to make their guests' stay memorable. Everything you need for a great visit. Thanks again, April!
What a beautiful experience! Our hosts Randy and April couldn't have been more gracious. Mahalo April for the yummy banana bread and fresh squeezed orange juice was da best.
If peace and serenity is what you're looking for, this is the place. I liked that it was close to Haleakala and Hana, we actually did both in the same day.
Look forward to our next adventure. While it worked for 3 of us, we'd definitely suggest 2 at a time in this unit. The cross breeze was perfect.

Randy and April were perfect hosts, welcoming, knowledgeable, and available. The guesthouse was perfectly clean, and we loved the outdoor kitchen, the gorgeous property, the ocean view, and most of all the privacy and quiet. I hope to stay again next year!
Huge ... Huge blessing to have Shanti and Harriet come this way ! not only did they take fine care of the place we truly connected well from day 1. and they graciously gifted me with the opportunity to provide Hawaiian Healilng art of Lomi Lomi 2 hours for each of them while they stayed. Thank you so... so much for all that you both radiate in joy and gratitude ! You are most certainly one of my most favorite connecting points to date !
sigh .... Randy
This is a perfect place to stay if you enjoy privacy and peace. We really loved it. The outdoor kitchen is perfect. While having your meal on your hudge very privet deck you will enjoy the beautiful scenery and singing birds. The town of Pa'ia is located a short drive from there. You will find there many shops, cafes and restaurants. For grocery shoping we recomend Mana Foods. You will have a hard time to find a better food store on Maui. If you plan to do the road trip to Hana, the Haleakea volcano or do some surfing, Olinda Bonsai Guiest House is in a perfect location.
Thank you, April and Randy, for the great time we had at your place!
Perfect hosts! My husband and I felt very comfortable. It's a great deal!
Relaxing retreat after our busy days of exploring. Randy and April are wonderful hosts with lots of connections to help you make the most of your stay in Maui. If we ever go back to the Islands, we will definitely stay in one of their bungalows. Aloha and Mahalo!
Thank you April and Randy for your wonderful hospitality. Your place was so peaceful and you were so right about the panorama of stars that blanketed the sky at night. The bed was super comfortable and we enjoyed sitting out in the morning and eating our breakfast on the patio. Thanks for making our arrival to Mauii so welcoming - your openness and generosity certainly embody the aloha spirit. Thank you for your . Stephen and Bridget
Randy and April are great hosts and I would definitely stay with them again. They are such nice people and we had everything we could want during our few nights with them. Banana bread was great, fresh Orange juice was delicious and everything was clean and homey. I realized I had dead batteries for my camera before leaving on the Road to Hana and April gave me some so we didn't have to go out of the way before driving to Hana. I love our ceramic turtle gifts the day we left. Great first Airbnb experience. Thank you Randy and April!
Very kind and friendly host April. The perfect location for all the amazing surf spots on north shore (Ho'okipa, Jaws) and for a trip on the road to Hana. Great sea view from the terrace, everything perfectly clean and exactly like the descriptions. Complimentary welcome basket with fresh fruits, juice and delicious self made banana bread. It was a perfect stay and we loved to stay longer, hopefully the next time.
