This neighbourhood is still very popular and authentic and here you can feel the real venetian atmosphere, with its many bars, restaurants, markets and little shops of all kind. • We had an enjoyable stay at Guillame's apartment. It's in a great location, minutes walk from the Giardini Biennale venue, a vaporetto stop and restaurants and services on Via Garibaldi. The apartment was clean and comfortably accommodated our family of four. Guillame was very responsive in his communication, and his associate happily met us at the vaporetto when we arrived after dark and showed us to the apartment.

  • Great place to stay for an affordable price. Great location with fantastic restaurants close by. It was nice that the closer we walked back to the flat the less touristy it became. Plenty of room in the flat, especially when only spending a couple of hours a day there. Overall and great experience with Guillaume and his property.

  • The appartment is close to the Biennale venues and thus ideal to visit during this event. In general it is quite central and - more important - in a vey nice and less crowded area of Venice.
Guillaume seems very nice and we had a very easygoing and uncomplicated welcome.
The appartment has two seperate rooms and a large living room/kitchen where there are also place to sleep. We were five people and definitly had enough space!

  • Excellent apartment, fantastic location and easy to get to and from the airport. Our only criticism would be that the cooking utensils were poor, no kettle, only a couple of pans, we would expect a an apartment for 7 would have sufficient plates, cups, glasses, knives and forks for 7 not 3 or 4.This did not spoil are stay just a small niggle. The host was very friendly helpful and accommodation, would defiantly recommend this apartment to friends and family.

  • Guillaume met us at the Giardini water taxi stop and showed us to the apartment which was very close. He was very friendly and good natured. He had no problem when we found out we needed one more set of sheets (we were using one more bed than he thought). We felt like we could call on him for anything, though we never needed to. The area outside the apartment was tree lined and near Giardini park - as mentioned, a perfect location for the huge art Biennale. Also a quick walk to Parco delle Rimembranze, which has a nice playground. Via Guiseppe Garibaldi is nearby with restaurants, cafes, and some shops. The area is lively but not crowded with tourists. Venice is very small so you are also a quick walk to all the sites on this island.
The apartment was clean, well lit, plenty of space and had a nice, new kitchen (that we didn't get a chance to use) with all the basics - soap, coffee, etc. The bathroom was small but modern and clean with plenty of hot water from the instant water heater. Also, with kids, it was great to have a washing machine. The only downside is that being on the ground floor, it was very musty. An AC to remove the humidity would be a good addition. There were plenty of big windows on 3 sides to open for fresh air but only during the day because there are no screens and lots of mosquitos. Would've also been nice to open them at night for cool air.
Overall, a good place at a good price (for Venice), especially for a large group.

    Response from Guillaume:

Guillaume helped us before coming, giving precise instructions for everything. Then the reception was very friendly but always professional, and then was always available for any questions.
The house is well armed and organized to meet any need and is really cute and comfortable.
The location is great, with the coast on a block, a channel just a few meters and a shopping center with everything you need right there.
Can not think of a better place from which to see Venice Guillaume's house.

  • We had a great stay and loved exploring Venice from this location. We felt the apartment was more spacious and comfortable than it seems in the photos!! Guillaume was easy to communicate with and we would certainly stay again.

  • Nice apartment. Six of us stayed there for two nights in July 2013 and found it clean and functional. The hosts are flexible and accommodating, and the house is very close to the Giardini vaporetto stop. The neighborhood is nice, and there's a lovely park close by.
