⚡ Power outages: A few times a year in high winds, power goes out briefly. Usually comes back quickly. Mountain weather is unpredictable.

Neighborhood highlights

St. Mary's is a small, quiet mountain neighborhood tucked into pines west of Idaho Springs. Mostly locals and people who came to the mountains to actually be in the mountains. You see one neighbor's house. The rest are hidden by trees.

The neighborhood sits on Fall River Road, the main route to St. Mary's Glacier. That means occasional weekend traffic, but nothing like living on the highway. It feels remote. It feels quiet. You're not actually isolated—Idaho Springs is 20 minutes, groceries are 20 minutes, world-class hiking is 5 minutes.

The vibe shifts by season and weather. Summer is green and cool. Winter brings snow and quiet. Fall has elk moving through. Spring is muddy and beautiful. Any season works if you're ready for mountain conditions.

My work: Host & Mama
Most useless skill: Walk on my hands.
I love my husband and kids. My full time job is being a mom/teacher to our six kids. Our favorite thing to do together is make memories in Colorado’s amazing mountain towns and out in nature. I grew up a proud Texan, swore I’d never leave, made some moves, and finally made it to the promised land: Colorado. Mountain life is the best life!
