The space
Our wonderful casita is self-contained with full kitchen, bathroom, comfortable beds and sitting area. We provide Wi-Fi, musical instruments including a piano, and tea, coffee, sugar and honey.

Part of the benefit of staying at Humming Grove is the outdoor ecology which you are welcome to enjoy. One mile from Humming Grove is the wonderful Cafe Fina which you can drive to in minutes or walk to on an off-road trail in 1/2 hour. Many of our guests enjoy Café Fina (1 mile away) or Jambo Bobcat Bite (2 miles away) for breakfast.

Beautiful hikes are just 5 to 10 minutes away by car in the Eldorado Wilderness Areas. The Eldorado Supermarket and La Tienda Shopping Center are 2 miles away. Access to I25 is just a mile away.

You are welcome to walk around and enjoy the property. You are welcome to arrange to come to the main house for laundry. Use of firepit and trampoline are by permission only, in lieu of safety considerations. We would be happy to give you a tour of the Earthship style greenhouse, garden and chicken coop area.

My work: teaching artist
Fun fact: I'm from South Africa
I have lived with my husband on an amazing property, we call Humming Grove, since 2004. We have been creating an education center, guest facilities and developing the ecology. Humming Grove is loved by hundreds of children who have attended workshops and camps here for many years. Our company is called Talking Hands Talking Feet and we teach children and teachers how to learn through the media of music and movement. You are welcome to check out our website. I come from South Africa and my passion is dance. Paul is a musician and songwriter. We have raised two wonderful boys who are now young adults. We love building relationships with people all over the world who are part of making a brighter future.
