Monti house apt: Up to 4+2 people

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Vicolo dei Serpenti, Rome, Lazio 00184, Italy

The Space

This elegant spacious apartment, with high wooden ceilings and bright teak floor, is located in Vicolo dei Serpenti, one of the most charming streets of the Monti area. The neighborhood is very safe, as your neighbor is the Italian President Mr Napolitano. Ideal for a large family or for a group of friends, this unit features a living room, three bedrooms, a fully equipped open kitchen, and one bathroom. The apartment is air conditioned and has a central heating system.

The apartment is on the first floor of a stylish building that doesn’t have a lift. Entering you will see the living area, where you will find a blue sofa, an armchair, a low table for magazines, TV, Hi-Fi system, and an interesting library full of books. The open kitchen is also located in this side of the apartment, featuring gas stove, oven, fridge, freezer, toaster, dish washer, washing machine (on the balcony) and all the necessary cookery equipment.

The master bedroom is furnished with a lot of taste. Antique furniture together with contemporary art painting give home hearth. The queen size bed is located along one of the walls, so that it can be used by day as a sitting area, and by night as a comfortable and soft bed.

A corridor leads to the opposite side of the apartment where you will find two extra rooms: both have a queen size bed. A bathroom with bathtub is located next to these two bright rooms. We recommend this unit to a family or a group of friends looking for a comfortable, spacious and central apartment which allows to have all the comforts and the privacy necessary for a fantastic Roman stay. Nearby, besides the traditional tourist targets like Colosseo, Foro Romano, Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore, Fontana di Trevi, there are 2 exhibitions halls that you should not miss: Palazzo delle Esposizioni (contemporary art), and Scuderie del Quirinale (presidential Palace, special art exhibitions).

Public transit is nearby: Via Nazionale is very well served by many buses lines.

  • This is a great apartment in a really excellent location. There are no surprises; it is as advertised. Everything was functional, clean, and comfortable. The experience was smooth for the most part. The property is managed by a company, not an individual.

  • We absolutely loved our time in Rome and Lorenzo's apartment. Brilliant location, many wonderful shops and restaurants near by; very close to the ancient Roman attractions such as the Forum and the Colosseum, and easy walking distance from pretty much everywhere else we wanted to go. The apartment is cool - high ceilings, great bedrooms and lounge room, nice furniture, well equipped and wifi. Thanks very much Lorenzo - I hope we can stay there again in the near future.

  • We stayed with three couples in this beautiful, very large first floor apartment. Its central location allowed us to visit Rome by foot and gave direct access to forum romanum, colloseum and other must sees.
The contact with Lorenzo went fluent and he gave us a warm welcome. The apartment was spotless, all beds had dry cleaned sheets, plenty of towels and a bottle of wine, cookies and fresh fruit waiting for us on arrival.
We would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

Thank you Lucienne! You are more than welcome to come back again! Lorenzo

  • Très bon accueil et appartement très agréable et spacieux, tout est accessible à pied (bus, métro, gare, fontaine de trévi, colisée, restaurants, boutiques, superettes). A recommander et prêt à y revenir.

  • The apartment is very nice, well furnished and very well located (walking distance from many sites). Air conditioning in the bedroom was a blessing in the hot italian summer! It would be a plus to have a/c in the living room as well. The bathroom is a little bit small and old-fashioned compared to the rest of the apartment but overall it's fine. I would recommend to stay in this very typical italian apartment !

  • This apartment was in a good location for access to most tourist attractions in Rome, and there are plenty of great places to eat and drink near the unit. It is very spacious and well laid-out. The unit felt pretty old, but that could be charming from a certain point of view. We had an issue with the shower one night, and when we contacted Lorenzo, it was fixed that very day, so kudos on the prompt customer service. That was really terrific. There were also a variety of resources (maps, books, guides, list of nearby attractions, restaurants, grocery stores, etc.) that were provided that were really helpful.
Things weren't perfect, though. We had some problems with check-in and an issue with the driver (whom we booked through Lorenzo) when we were dropped off at the airport.
Overall, though, it's a good value, and you can certainly do a lot worse than this apartment. I was fairly satisfied, and customer service outside of the things I mentioned was really excellent.

    Response from Lorenzo:

    Dear Jooho,
first of all i would like to thank you for compliments.
I also apologize for all the inconveniences you have mentioned, i will let you know as soon as possible what happened with the driver as i'm surprised of this.
    Hope to host you again,
    my best regards

  • Beautiful, huge apartment in an amazing location. It was handled through an agency when we visited, and everything went smoothly. Just spending two days here made our entire Rome trip worthwhile.
    Worth every cent.

  • We stayed at the Monti apartment for 5 days and it is a really nice apartment - even better and more spacious than in pictures, just perfect for max. 4 persons. Bedrooms are quiet and the location is good. And the host was very friendly and helpful.
