About this listing
This elegant spacious apartment, with high wooden ceilings and bright teak floor, is located in Vicolo dei Serpenti, one of the most charming streets of the Monti area. The neighborhood is very safe, as your neighbor is the Italian President Mr Napolitano. Ideal for a large family or for a group of friends, this unit features a living room, three bedrooms, a fully equipped open kitchen, and one bathroom. The apartment is air conditioned and has a central heating system.
The apartment is on the first floor of a stylish building that doesn’t have a lift. Entering you will see the living area, where you will find a blue sofa, an armchair, a low table for magazines, TV, Hi-Fi system, and an interesting library full of books. The open kitchen is also located in this side of the apartment, featuring gas stove, oven, fridge, freezer, toaster, dish washer, washing machine (on the balcony) and all the necessary cookery equipment.
The master bedroom is furnished with a lot of taste. Antique furniture together with contemporary art painting give home hearth. The queen size bed is located along one of the walls, so that it can be used by day as a sitting area, and by night as a comfortable and soft bed.
A corridor leads to the opposite side of the apartment where you will find two extra rooms: both have a queen size bed. A bathroom with bathtub is located next to these two bright rooms. We recommend this unit to a family or a group of friends looking for a comfortable, spacious and central apartment which allows to have all the comforts and the privacy necessary for a fantastic Roman stay. Nearby, besides the traditional tourist targets like Colosseo, Foro Romano, Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore, Fontana di Trevi, there are 2 exhibitions halls that you should not miss: Palazzo delle Esposizioni (contemporary art), and Scuderie del Quirinale (presidential Palace, special art exhibitions).
Public transit is nearby: Via Nazionale is very well served by many buses lines.

Big and clean house, great location, we are really enjoy our trip in Lorenzo's perfect house. We will come back to his home next time in Rome!
Monti house has some great attractions: it is very spacious (for 5 people), has a nice interior decoration (wooden floor and ceiling, Indonesian decoration?), and is well located. On the down side, finishing is a little bit dated (some lamps are not working) and it can be slightly noisy, with Via Nationale not too far away. Also, bear in mind that you will not meet the owner, but one of his support staff; so there's not the original AirBnB touch to it. But all in all a very nice spot.
We had a nice experience at Monti House. The place was located just minutes away from Piazza Venezia and the Colosseum. The place had a classical look and easily fit the 6 of us (4 adults & 2 kids). The WIFI unfortunately was very slow and did not reach the 2 back bedrooms. The bathroom was a little bit small but adequate.
The neighborhood was very secure, as there was round the clock security in front of the building. There were several places to eat just around the block and at the ground floor of the building. We would definitely stay here again!
This is a great apartment in a good location. It is convenient to many of the sites and transportation. It has an authentic Roman feel to it. The bedrooms do fit a couple. We used the bed in the living room as well. The living room does not have a door, so you can't separate it off completely, but it does make for another sleeping space. If you are with close friends or family, this should not be too much of a problem. There is some street noise from time to time as with most cities. Our host left some nice fruit and snacks for us. The manager, Honey, who checked us in was efficient and easy to work with. The bathroom needs a little attention. Over-all this is a good apartment to stay in, and I would recommend it.
Great location at a reasonable price. I'd go back to the same place.
Many good restaurants and bars within easy walking distance.
The two bedrooms have A/C that work well and are quiet (so as not to disturb sleep). With the windows closed, the bedrooms are quiet and dark, which is just what I need to get over jet lag.
The bed in the main bedroom was comfortable (not to hard and not too soft). We didn't use the bed in the smaller bedroom.
It's great having a clothes washer included.
The large living room and kitchen/dinning room are very nice to have.
Lorenzo was very responsive to my emails.
(Note: the dishwasher still isn't working.)
The advance communication was very good. Lorenzo has always reported within a short time and was dedicated to our concerns.
The Monti apartment is very tastefully decorated, spacious, clean, has a well-equipped kitchen.
It is very well located, 10 minutes walk to the Trevi Fountain. Subway nearby.
The Monti district is located with good small restaurants and interesting, individual shops.
Of course, the room in front of the street is not very quiet at night. It's just a big city!
The two rooms in the back are quiet.
We felt very comfortable and would come back any time.
