This elegant and spacious apartment, with high wooden ceilings and bright teak floors, is located on Vicolo dei Serpenti, one of the most charming streets of the Monti area!

The space

This elegant spacious apartment, with high wooden ceilings and bright teak floor, is located in Vicolo dei Serpenti, one of the most charming streets of the Monti area. The neighborhood is very safe, as your neighbor is the Italian President Mr Napolitano. Ideal for a large family or for a group of friends, this unit features a living room, three bedrooms, a fully equipped open kitchen, and one bathroom. The apartment is air conditioned and has a central heating system.

The apartment is on the first floor of a stylish building that doesn’t have a lift. Entering you will see the living area, where you will find a blue sofa, an armchair, a low table for magazines, TV, Hi-Fi system, and an interesting library full of books. The open kitchen is also located in this side of the apartment, featuring gas stove, oven, fridge, freezer, toaster, dish washer, washing machine (on the balcony) and all the necessary cookery equipment.

The master bedroom is furnished with a lot of taste. Antique furniture together with contemporary art painting give home hearth. The queen size bed is located along one of the walls, so that it can be used by day as a sitting area, and by night as a comfortable and soft bed.

A corridor leads to the opposite side of the apartment where you will find two extra rooms: both have a queen size bed. A bathroom with bathtub is located next to these two bright rooms. We recommend this unit to a family or a group of friends looking for a comfortable, spacious and central apartment which allows to have all the comforts and the privacy necessary for a fantastic Roman stay. Nearby, besides the traditional tourist targets like Colosseo, Foro Romano, Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore, Fontana di Trevi, there are 2 exhibitions halls that you should not miss: Palazzo delle Esposizioni (contemporary art), and Scuderie del Quirinale (presidential Palace, special art exhibitions).

Public transit is nearby: Via Nazionale is very well served by many buses lines.

Great location, scrupulously clean. We misunderstood & thought there were 3 bedrooms. There are 2 bedrooms but 3 beds. One is in the large living area. Not a problem for us and all very comfortable.

Excellent location and pretty nice building. Can be noisy at night though. The agent was really helpful. However he promised to send a fan and a technician over but he never did. The house still feels nice. No air conditioning in the living room so it can be quite hot at summer. Overall would recommend!

Location. Location. Location. That's what is important to me when I travel, and this location was perfect. Nearly everything was in walking distance (all expect the Vatican in Romes deadly heat waves.) you could walk 20 steps and you'll see the coliseum!! Perfectly in the center yet it was tucked away in a little side street that was cute and Italian! Every night we heard an accordion player play for the restaurant below and truly felt like we were in a movie. The flat was a lot bigger than the pictures show - it fit all 6 of us comfortably. But the wifi was extremely weak and only in one room of the flat. The initial check took forever with some random guy who took pictures of all our passports (which I've never experienced with Airbnb before). the air conditioning was only in two bedrooms and not the common areas. The "bed" in the lounge was without sheets and the sofa bed was so uncomfortable. This room got the most noise from down below throughout the night. The bathroom was doable, could be update! The kitchen was fully equipped and there was a little grocery market close by so we were able to dine in every night. Oh but the home decor was awful, and scary! Haha but overall very good spot!!

Host was great and very friendly and communicative. Location is great! Unfortunately only one bathroom but we knew that from the beginning. Also, there is the tax fee upon arrival that you must take note of.

We had a nice experience at Monti House. The place was located just minutes away from Piazza Venezia and the Colosseum. The place had a classical look and easily fit the 6 of us (4 adults & 2 kids). The WIFI unfortunately was very slow and did not reach the 2 back bedrooms. The bathroom was a little bit small but adequate. The neighborhood was very secure, as there was round the clock security in front of the building. There were several places to eat just around the block and at the ground floor of the building. We would definitely stay here again!

This is a great apartment in a good location. It is convenient to many of the sites and transportation. It has an authentic Roman feel to it. The bedrooms do fit a couple. We used the bed in the living room as well. The living room does not have a door, so you can't separate it off completely, but it does make for another sleeping space. If you are with close friends or family, this should not be too much of a problem. There is some street noise from time to time as with most cities. Our host left some nice fruit and snacks for us. The manager, Honey, who checked us in was efficient and easy to work with. The bathroom needs a little attention. Over-all this is a good apartment to stay in, and I would recommend it.
