In my opinion, the climb is a good exercise after indulging in good italian food in all the amazing nearby restaurants, but this is something to be sure about before booking.

New!!! Just a few steps from home:
the new food store Eataly Smeraldo, piazza XXV Aprile
the big supermarket Esselunga, under Piazza Gae Aulenti.
Located in the Isola, an historical and typical area of Milan.
The district, despite having undergone a major redevelopment of the nearby Cittadella della Moda and the ultra modern tower Unicredit, the tallest building in Italy, maintains a bohemian atmosphere and a balance between tradition and innovation.
Here you will find famous clubs like the Blue Note, Alcatraz and Frida, craft shops and vintage, many restaurants, supermarkets and the typical local market.
Corso Como, with many boutiques and restaurants, and the charming Brera district can be reached on foot in 10 minutes.
The nearby Piazza Gae Aulenti, among the new skyscrapers of the directional centre, is perfect to relax at the coffee/bookstore Feltrinelli RED, at the gelateria Grom (ice cream) and in the big supermarket Esselunga you find whatever you need.
The apartment is just a few meters from Porta Garibaldi train Station (Malpensa Express, Italo, Frecciarossa,TGV and Passante Ferroviario ) and from the MM2 underground station (convenient to the Central Station -two stops-, the Cadorna station and the Navigli district) and the new metro line MM5 connecting the Bicocca university district and the hospital Niguarda Ca 'Granda.
The MM2 is also the direct line to reach the Forum of Assago and the San Raffaele Hospital
A few minutes there is the MM3 underground line (Zara) which leads directly to the center and to the Duomo-Montenapoleone, Via della
Being close to Passante Porta Garibaldi you can quickly reach the new Rho - Milan Fiera.
In the area there are also four car sharing stations, and just near the house, a bike sharing station and a rental car Hertz.

Marina was the perfect host! The apartment was clean and had everything you could possibly need! Really good location too and Marinas tips for Milan were great.... Thouroughly recommend this apartment and it will be my first port of call for trips to Milan in the future! Thanks Marina!
Marina prepared everything very carefully and Even had bought drinks and snacks!
The apartment is located in a backyard of an old Italian building. It has a lot of charm and it was very quiet. The location with garibaldi station is great for quick connections.
I can only recommend !
Eleanor and I had the pleasure of staying in Marina's apartment whilst we were in town to run the Milan marathon. The appartment is very nice and spacious and a perfect place for us to spend a few nights.
Marina was very welcoming and was a font of knowledge about Milan. Anything we had forgotten we were able to find in the information books which Marina herself has tirelessly put together.
We would fully recommend the appartment and Marina to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Milan!
Marina was an amazing host. Unfortunately, we had less than 24 hours in Milan, but after talking with Marina, we desperately wished we had more time. Marina was at the apartment waiting for us upon arrival. She supplied a wealth of information on what to see and how to get there. The apartment is even better than in the photos. Marina stocked the place with coffee, tea, cookies, croissants, water, and a couple of beers! There was also a take-a-book, leave-a-book small library in the bedroom, which I took advantage of. The apartment is very close to Garibaldi train station and the metro, so getting to and from the apartment and around town was quite easy. A wonderful place to stay in Milan!
Marina is by far the best host we had at any of the places we stayed on our trip to Italy. Her level of organization is unbelievable! Tons of recommendations, maps of where to go, what to see, and where to eat. I would recommend her flat to ANYONE staying in Milan - the location is great being near Garibaldi station and the Metro, and the flat is very nice! I wish we could have stayed longer! Thanks Marina!
In less than an hour from your arrival at Malpensa airport you can reach Marina's apartment. Marina is a very pleasant and knowledgeable person. She can answer in detail all your questions, and she does it with a passion, she can recommend best restaurants, best side trips, best routes. The apartment is lovely, comfortable, there is no one thing that is missing...if you forgot something home - Marina already thought about it, and you can find it in her apartment. On my next trip I wouldn't stay in any other place. I will recommend it to all my friends. Thank you, Marina, you exceeded all our expectations.
Through no fault of our host we were delayed a day dealing with passport problems. We were able to keep in contact with Marina who arranged for her son to meet with us and provide a run though of the unit whilst providing advice about local shops / attractions etc. Excluding a washing machine / drier the unit was perfectly fitted out including refreshments and snacks making it easy to settle in.
The unit is on the 4th floor so every one got a good work out!.
We discovered small cafes / bars as well as a deli and pizza shop which was great for dinner after a days shopping in Milan central. The unit is beautifully decorated and laid out with a great information book provided which includes maps and information on every thing you could need.
Whilst a short distance away from the main tourist areas the unit / area allowed us to get a real feel of Italy. We meet Marina as we were checking out and she really is an excellent host.
The Apartment is really nice and the perfect place to start your milan-sightseeingtour from. It is close to Garibaldi Station and the important metro and tram lines. Everything is clean and really nice furnished. You'll directly feel comfortable.Marina is a very lovely and nice host. She gave us great tips for our stay like nice restaurants in the area etc and really cares for you. You'll find everything for a quick breakfast like coffee maker, croissants... what is really nice. Thanks for the great time.
Perfect place for a stay in Milan. The apartment is situated in a quiet building with friendly local people. It's very close to Garibaldi station and a lot of good restaurants in the neighboorhood. From 'our home' we walked around the whole center of Milan. Marina is a very warm host and gave us very good tips for things to see and visit.
