This is a small yet, very comfortable studio in a townhouse. The private door is literally 10 m from the trails! Its a very quiet and private place, has a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and a nice bathroom! Can accommodate 3 people. You can walk downtown if you don't mind the 45 mins walk (4km). Canmore offers great mountain biking, skiing, fishing, hiking and so on.
We are located 20 km form Banff. You can ride your bike to Banff on the Legacy Trail, take the Roam Bus, or drive your car. Canmore is much quieter than Banff. You can walk downtown without being surrounded by too many people!
Internet, mini-fridge, microwave, table and 3 chairs, coffee maker, electric kettle.
On October 1st 2014, I will be moving out of my townhouse and renting it to friends. Although they are very friendly, I do not expect them to provide much assistance with the suite, and you will see me only if you need something specific. So very little interaction with me or my tenants is to be expected.
Small townhouse backing the mountain. It's on three levels and the suite is on the first one. Private entrance behind the townhouse.
30 minutes walk from the ''roam bus'' who can take you to Banff.
There is only a bathtub, no shower!
You can hear footsteps from people upstairs

Interaction with Guests
I don't live in the townhouse anymore, but my friend Alexandra does with her daughter and husband Rob. They are very friendly and will by happy to help you if needed. Although, if possible try, to call me first: (phone number hidden)
Quiet, backing the mountain.
Public transit to Banff is at 20-30 minutes walk.
Other Things to Note
Don't need to stop at the front entrance. Just make your way around the building and spot the yellow chairs!
*You can hear footsteps from people upstairs.
-Park in the visitors parking.
-Door is left unlocked prior to your arrival, so you can ''self-check in'' anytime you wish after 4:00
-Make sure you close the door properly when you leave, special when it's cold outside!
-Shut the lights before leaving please. Alberta's electricity is mostly powered by coal!
-Self check-in. Make your way around the condo and spot the yellow chairs! That will be our unit #3.
The host is nice. I came at 1:00 am, and could not find the door, so I called the host. She was so nice and told me how to enter into the room! Thanks god, she was like a godness.
Julie is a great host, she helped us out when we arrived late due to our drive and is very quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Her suite is exactly as described, it is clean and well equipped for a stay in Banff. We only stayed one night but found maps and books provided to the guests about the location so they could explore the parks and local town. The suite is in a quiet residential neighborhood so you can be sure to get a great nights sleep, there are a couple of restaurants within a few blocks of the suite and if you have a car downtown is less then 5 minutes away with great restaurants and shops that are open late.
Julie's cozy suite was quite amazing! Everything is exactly as how it shows. Perfect for 2 people to travel at a good rate, with a great location. Everything was very tidy, and clean. Definitely will go back, if we ever travel back to Canmore. The unit comes with a microwave, fridge and a kettle as well, so it was really convenient for us to make some instant food. Thank you Julie for the awesome place :)
This Cozy Suite is an accurate description. Clean. Quite. The accomadations were ideal. We were very happy with our stay.
What an excellent place to stay! Self check in is very easy and it's a gorgeous little suite which is really cosy. Julie has made it so homely. It's nice and cool which is a godsend in the hot weather. It's silent at night so you can sleep really well. Great places to eat nearby so I would definitely come back!
We never met Julie but we met her lovely renter in the attached unit, Alexandria. I didn't get to speak to Alexandria too much, but my Mom was enamored by her and probably would have liked to spend more time talking to her and spending time with her dog. They got along great, and my Mom stated that Alexandria's kindness and conversations was one of her favorite parts of staying at the suite. My favorite parts were the location in Canmore, the daybed area and the quietness. The location was close to the freeway and anything needed, yet away from the hustle and bustle. Stepping out the door, we had a great view of trees, mountains and immediate access to trails. The daybed was extremely comfortable and I loved the little nook where I kept all my clothes and supplies. The wifi was pretty good, best we had on our trip, but still was less than what I was used to in the States. Not an issue, it was nice to have it in order to keep in touch with friends and loved ones. 10/10, would stay again.
Overall, this room fit our needs and was a good location as it was only a short drive to Banff. I thought the tub was kinda fun and different but I'm not too tall! The tricky part for us was arriving super late in the night and since it was so dark we were really uncertain about how to get to the back of the house since there is no real sidewalk to get you there.
About the Host, Julie
I have been living in the Rockies since 2007. I love Canmore, it's a very special place with the great outdoors right out my backdoor! Canmore has lots of very good restaurants, art galleries and music shows to offer. Everyone is pretty relaxed here, forget about the stress of big cities! I'm happy to provide you a clean, comfortable and affordable place to stay in our amazing region!
