This is a small yet, very comfortable studio in a townhouse. The private door is literally 10 m from the trails! Its a very quiet and private place, has a mini fridge, microwave, BBQ, coffee maker and a nice bathroom! Can accommodate 3 people. You can walk downtown if you don't mind the 45 mins walk (4km). Canmore offers great mountain biking, skiing, fishing, hiking and so on.
We are located 20 km form Banff. You can ride your bike to Banff on the Legacy Trail, take the Roam Bus, or drive your car. Canmore is much quieter than Banff. You can walk downtown without being surrounded by too many people!
Internet, mini-fridge, microwave, table and 3 chairs, coffee maker, electric kettle.
On October 1st 2014, I will be moving out of my townhouse and renting it to friends. Although they are very friendly, I do not expect them to provide much assistance with the suite, and you will see me only if you need something specific. So very little interaction with me or my tenants is to be expected.
Small townhouse backing the mountain. It's on three levels and the suite is on the first one. Private entrance behind the townhouse.
30 minutes walk from the ''roam bus'' who can take you to Banff.
There is only a bathtub, no shower!
You can hear footsteps from people upstairs
Private bathroom, the suite with everything that is in it. Guest parking lot.
Interaction with Guests
I don't live in the townhouse anymore, but my friend Alexandra does with her daughter and husband Rob. They are very friendly and will by happy to help you if needed. Although, if possible try, to call me first: (phone number hidden)
Quiet, backing the mountain.
Public transit to Banff is at 20-30 minutes walk.
Other Things to Note
Don't need to stop at the front entrance. Just make your way around the building and spot the yellow chairs!
You can hear footsteps from people upstairs.
-Park in the visitors parking.
-Door is left unlocked prior to your arrival, so you can ''self-check in'' anytime you wish after 4:00
-Make sure you close the door properly when you leave, special when it's cold outside!
-Shut the lights before leaving please. Alberta's electricity is mostly powered by coal!
-Self check-in. Make your way around the condo and spot the yellow chairs! That will be our unit #3.
My wife and I love this place very much! It is really a nice and private room with an isolated entry. I spent two nights here with my wife during a trip in Banff and Yoho National Parks. It takes about five minutes to drive to downtown of Canmore, where you can find a lot of different restaurants. A small tip for visitors that do not lock the knob, and many thanks to Julie for her coming to open the door for me because I lock the knob by mistake.
The suite is as described and like on the pictures. Julie always replied to our messages and self check-in and self check-out was convenient as we were on a road trip and didn't know when exactly we will arrive in Canmore. The mattress was too hard and in a V shape. I didn't have good nights but this depends on each other. There is only a little electric heater. It is advertised as a suite private bedroom but there is a microwave, a fridge and cutlery which is great but have to do the washing up in the small bathroom's sink or bath. The bathroom with no shower will give you the opportunity to take a bath. You can hear footsteps and conversations from neighbours as well as their baby's cries. Good and quiet location in Canmore which is a cute town. Ok for one or two nights.
Place was exactly as advertised, a nice cozy suite to lay your head at the end of a day of hiking or seeing the sights in Banff or Canmore. For the price it was everything I could have wanted. Would stay here again.
Me and my boyfriend stayed at Julie's place for 3 nights. The place was great, private and decent. Though its a little far from.downtown, its better for ppl with car
My partner and I are living here for 5 months over the winter so we can snowboard and we love it, canmore is a beautiful town and we are close to everything, this studio has been perfect for us and has everything we need!
About the Host, Julie
I have been living in the Rockies since 2007. I love Canmore, it's a very special place with the great outdoors right out my backdoor! Canmore has lots of very good restaurants, art galleries and music shows to offer. Everyone is pretty relaxed here, forget about the stress of big cities! I'm happy to provide you a clean, comfortable and affordable place to stay in our amazing region!
