Interaction with Guests

Guests have their own floor separate from my living area. Interaction is a choice and I leave that up to the guests -- some people want privacy which they can have; and others like to converse about the area and what's unique about it; and on occasion we go out to dinners and if there are local functions ie. fundraisers, holiday parties, resident gatherings for music, picnics, and fireworks!

The Neighborhood

Trees and more trees -- beautiful sunsets, gorgeous tall pines, higher elevation 6800+, views of mountains, and areas just out the door for leisure walks and talks. Swimming pool available for summer; easy access to beaches in winter, picnics, sun, and warm days -- even in mid-winter we kayak on the Lake when it is calm. Dogs are to be on leash and with their owners as members of their family; and are allowed on the property.

Getting around

Walking, biking, short drives to specific local areas. Hiking and skiing by shuttle pick up 200 yds away; Easy parking and there is public bus that runs every half hour. Town and beaches less than a mile walk. Taxi also available for those late nites!

There is a dimmer switch in the bathroom -- some like it soft, some like it bright, some just like it :-). I will put a label on the dimmer switch so next time, you can turn it up bright ... Loved having you... look forward to more fun!

I live as an active artist - nature photographer and large format 'elemental essence' painter and photographer -- Lover of the mountains and the jewel of the sierra's - Lake Tahoe which is at 6250 ft. Magnificent surroundings inspired me to live simply with integrity, love, and consciousness; and my home is filled with color, light, and love. My home is your retreat from the hustle and bustle of the urban life; yet, filled with creativity and opportunities to be active -- it is your choice. I came for a month to Lake Tahoe and stayed 13 years full time --enjoying the air clarity, active and artistic community of people, good restaurants, varied seasons, and opportunities to go deep into the beauty, inside and out. I live in a quiet, peaceful, and tranquil environment - where one can go out to the entertainment activities locally: boating, kayaking, bicycling, skiing, hiking, restaurants, and more.
