About this listing
Sanddollar Vanuatu Holiday Rental Accommodation provides great holiday accommodation, 30 minutes out of Port Vila, Vanuatu. The large property is situated in a wide sweeping bay, with a beautiful coral reef situated 20 metres offshore, complemented by Sanddollars' own swimming pool located right on the coast.
The holiday haven is self contained, with a focal point being the 'Haus Wind' ( Beach Bungalow) containing the guests kitchen and large lounge area. The 'Haus Wind' overlooks the swimming pool and its associated tropical seashore, and the half height coral walls provide 360 degree panoramic views.
Slightly elevated and set back from the coast are the two accommodation Fares ( Bungalows) which have been built following traditional Tahitian construction and comfortably sleep four guests each. The front of both bungalows bifold away to allow sweeping views of Tuk Tuk bay, and have substantial decks for guests to relax and take in the vista. The 'Fares' (bungalows) have been situated to make the most of extensive views of the Bay & the lush tropical gardens developed on Sanddollar. They are positioned to ensure privacy from one another, and exclusivity is further enhanced by Sanddollars' policy of renting to only one entity or group at any one time.
Behind the seaside Fare (Bungalow) is a small plunge pool, which has its own deck and views of the landscaped property and sea. However, evenings are usually spent sitting in the cape cod chairs, on the sandy foreshore with a drink, and watching the sun set in the western sea - no sunset is the same.
Sanddollar initially began as a weekend retreat for a Frenchman & his Tahitian wife. The idyllic setting and panoramic views captured their imagination & they constructed a permanent large traditional 'Fare' or bungalow, where they lived permanently for some years.
Sanddollar Vanuatu now provides quality island style accommodation for travellers and holiday-makers, who want to enjoy coastal living and a real tropical experience, but still with that earlier island living embodied.
The large property has 80 metres of coastline, with great snorkelling just offshore. Alternatively, you can kayak along the coast or across the bay, and there is enough variation to engage both novice & experience kayakers alike. If you enjoy scuba diving 'Devils Point Dive' have become extremely popular, and are located next door.
Sanddollar is a large property and each booking has exclusive rights over the entire property for the time of their booking. Because Sanddollar can accommodate eight or more guests, we have a tariff system that does not preclude single person, couples and families from staying. Our rates are based on a 'per person per night' basis so as to provide the greatest flexibility. The tariff is simple -
$AUD100 per night for the first person and $AUD50 per night for each subsequent person up to a max of eight people total.
The rate has been posted as typical for a single person per night. The actual Tariff for the site is as follows :
1 person = $AUD 100
2 persons = $AUD 100 x 1 + $AUD 50 x 1 = $AUD 150 / night
3 persons = $AUD 100 x 1 + $AUD 50 x 2 = $AUD 200 / night
4 persons = $AUD 100 x 1 + $AUD 50 x 3 = $AUD 250 / night
5 persons = $AUD 100 x 1 + $AUD 50 x 4 = $AUD 300 / night
6 persons = $AUD 100 x 1 + $AUD 50 x 5 = $AUD 350 / night
7 persons = $AUD 100 x 1 + $AUD 50 x 6 = $AUD 400 / night
8 persons = $AUD 100 x 1 + $AUD 50 x 7 = $AUD 450 / night

About the Host, Greg
I am an avid traveller. i write about and provide travel adventures for 'travellers' who want to see, do & have real travel experiences - not just the same old spoon fed itineraries designed for 'tourist' consumption.
My wife Anne and I along with her sister & her husband, visited Vanuatu in 2004 & were immediately mesmerized by the beauty of the country & its people. Anne and I had worked in PNG some years ago and Vanuatu had all the great aspects of an unspoilt tropical haven, with non of the disadvantages. Sanddollar is a great property for those who want to combine an awesome holiday with a 'real' island experience. It encompasses a quality island stay that you will never forget.
We have developed a strong relationship with Simon our manager & his family who carefully look after the holiday rental. Over the past nine years they have become a part of our family. If you need anything Simon during your stay, Simon will endeavour to help you.
We hope you have a great stay.
