Our thoroughly remodeled 2-bedroom 1-bath southwestern-style home with mid-century modern touches is conveniently located in central Tucson on the frontage road of pedestrian- and bicycle-friendly Tucson Boulevard.

The Space

Six-foot perimeter walls provide privacy and peace of mind for you to fully enjoy the indoor/outdoor living that our desert environment has to offer. Two lovely porches and a patio invite you to relax and renew, even if you are in Tucson on business.

All entrances to the house have wheel-chair accessible ramps.

The two bedrooms (one with a Queen-sized, the other with two Twin-sized beds) conveniently sleep four. The living room couch or a roll-away bed can accommodate a fifth person, if necessary.

You can cook using the fully-equipped kitchen, enjoying the privacy of your home away from home. Or you can go out to eat at one of the many area restaurants, some in walking distance, such as the restaurant and patio of the Historic Arizona Inn.

Guest Access

While you are there, the entire house, front yard, and back yard up to a dividing wall is your's.

  • We have stayed in a variety of holiday rentals through the years but this is one of the best. After spending time exploring other rental companies, a friend put us on to AirBnB and which is where we found this rental.

When we arrived at 10:00pm, Friederike and Bob were there to greet us and they immediately put us at ease. Because they live next door, it was easy to ask any questions and yet we had complete privacy.

The location was ideal for cycling. We cycled everywhere - fantastic bike lanes. Friederike and Bob were fine with us storing our bikes inside. We had two rental bikes delivered and picked up which was very convenient.

The pictures of the backyard don’t do it justice. It is huge, completely private, quiet and attractive.

The home is very comfortable. Friederike and Bob thought of everything! The kitchen is the best equipped of any rental we have been in. It had a blender, food processor, lots of dishes, dish washer, washer and drier. There were also all the little things like spices, soap for the dishwasher and clothes washer, extra shampoo, etc. Bob and Friederike were gracious, welcoming and genuinely concerned about making our B&B rental the best it could possibly be. We will definitely return to Tucson and this rental.
    Thank you!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay in this attractive, beautifully decorated and landscaped, centrally located home. Our hosts were welcoming and ready to help with special needs. We appreciated the private outdoor spaces where we regularly ate our meals. We would definitely do it again.

  • We had a wonderful stay! The house was clean and comfortable, worked perfectly for the four of us. The location was convenient - lots of places nearby for food/coffee and not far from downtown. Bob and Friederike were wonderful hosts- great communication and very welcoming.

  • A wonderful stay at a wonderful house that is very comfortable, clean and easy to get to! Bob was very easy to talk to and made us feel very safe and at home right away. The house has everything you would need like being at home. Thank you!

  • This is a lovely, pretty and spacious apartment which is a great place to stay in central Tucson. Friederike was a lovely host and the place was immaculate. The art on the walls added to the attractiveness of the rooms which were all great. Outside space is generous with a large seating area in the back yard and a front porch also. The location is a ten minute drive from downtown Phoenix so we soon found our way around. I don't cook but if you want to there is a good size kitchen with lots of utensils. There's pretty much everything you need in fact. Would definitely recommend you to try it out!

  • We had a perfect stay at Bob & Friederike's beautiful, peaceful house. We loved the location and their lovely, immaculate house. We especially enjoyed the private, spacious patio. They graciously allowed us to change the reservation date at the last minute due to a cancelled flight. It was a pleasure meeting them -- they are very considerate hosts. If you're looking for a centrally located, quiet, clean, lovely house with gracious hosts, this is the place for you.

  • This is our second WONDERFUL stay with Friederike and Bob and we will most certainly stay during our next annual visit to Tucson. We are two 30+ yr olds with 2 3yos.

We have family about a mile away and "The Yellow House", as our girls call it, is the perfect place to bed down in between holiday happenings.

The space is clean, spacious, well-supplied, modern. wi-fi! We liked that there was nothing for our children to break, but enough to make us feel like we were in a home, not a hotel. Coffee pot, pots, spices. Maybe not quite enough pots to make an elaborate feast, but perfect for our needs. And I have the feeling if we needed anything more, the hosts would have supplied it. We especially love the outdoors space for collecting pebbles, drinking coffee, and watching our girls perform a "show" on the deck.

It was very easy for our family to drop off supplies (toddler and food items) before we arrived and to pick up keys.

When we needed a grocery item, Friederike came to the rescue! When we had trouble with the wash machine, Bob came within an hour!

GREAT location. Easy to get downtown, to Trader Joe's/Whole foods, etc. Quiet and dark at night.

I highly recommend it! But please don't visit when we are in town!

  • This sweet home wildly exceeded all of our expectations! We could not have been happier. It is the perfect size for our family of four. And, when my mother-in-law decided to join us, Bob and Friederike found us a roll away to accommodate us all. Even going the extra mile to add some firmness to the soft mattress! All exchanges with the hosts were easy and pleasant. The house has everything you could need and is thoughtfully designed. The backyard is an entertainers dream!!! We hope to stay again and again in the years to come!

  • I went to Tucson for the Gem and Mineral show. Where I was invited to stay was a little over crowded for my taste. I looked on airbnb.com to hopefully find something anything that I wouldn't be waiting for the bathroom or paying more for a hotel then I wanted to. I tried hotels but on last minute they only could put me in for a couple nights at must then I'd have to move. I found this gem of a house after looking on airbnb.com. So I grad my friend Timmy an we headed over to Bod an Friederikes house.

  • Loved our stay. This is our favorite central Tucson neighborhood from having visited the nearby Arizona Inn several times.
Close to the desert (Santa Catalina Mountains for hiking, Gates Pass for the western desert, Sabino Canyon & Saguaro Parks for easy walks) and all downtown conveniences.
The hosts were gracious and beyond helpful when our flights into the US were delayed and we arrived terribly late, had lots of recommendations and advice on the area, very helpful (particularly into the dynamic dining scene).
But the real star is the house itself, great light, just right sized to feel comfortable. The thickness of the walls, double insulated glass and privacy allowed by the surrounding garden walls were perfect. Really becomes a peaceful 'home' in an instant. Tastefully decorated and well equiped with everything you need for a week or a month of desert living.
