Architect designed spacious home in premier Guadiana neighborhood - sited in a quiet private cul-de-sac, this 3BR 3.5 bath home was built with comfort and sunlight in mind. It is stylishly decorated and art filled. In the LR, comfortable seating faces a gas fireplace and paintings and crafts by Mexican artisans contribute to the casually sophisticated scene. There is a separate dining room which seats 8 around a custom mesquite table and an eat-in kitchen with classic talavera tiles. Conveniently, there are no stairs to the serene ground floor king master BR and attached bath. From the master BR you will look out arched windows onto a patio with lush plantings and a fountain. Queen and twin bedrooms, both en suite, are upstairs.
The house sleeps a maximum of 6. The upper roof terrace offers all the sun one could want, with lounge chairs as well as an umbrella table and chairs. My housekeeper and gardener maintain my home and plantings. Internet and WIFI keep you connected. There is secure off-street parking.
The central historic district, Parque Juarez and the Instituto Allende are only a stroll away, as are diverse ethnic restaurants and charming shops. Indulge yourself in San Miguel's lively cultural scene - art openings, plays, concerts, classes and workshops in painting, poetry, sculpting, self awareness...spend time at yoga, brush up on your Spanish, play golf or tennis nearby. For the young at heart, try four wheeling, rappelling, the thermal springs or hot-air ballooning. Or simply relax!
House rules are basic: limit of 6 persons, no kids 15 or under, no pets, no smoking.
There is a washer/dryer and roof clothesline (which I love to use).
There is WIFI without a password.
Garbage is tied in plastic bags and placed in the garage area shed for pick-up three times a week..
Stay here and you could give this host their first review!
Reader, talker, hiker, independent film fanatic, bridge player, adventurous traveler,
happy retiree. Past lives include years in NYC, Dallas, and NW Connecticut. I have been coming to San Miguel for literally decades, and 6 years ago decided to buy land in what I think is the best possible location, Guadiana. An accomplished architect designed my home around a central courtyard in classic colonial Mexican style.
