This beautiful, private two bedroom home can easily accomodate up to four or 5 people as the living room can be used as a 3rd bedroom. In gorgeous Bayou St. John, just 8 blocks to Jazz Fest and a 5 minute drive to the French Quarter, this classic New Orleans house is appointed with authentic art, antiques, a full kitchen and bath and a large deck and back garden for quiet relaxation. There is also plenty of safe street parking out front.

There are numerous food options including Cafe Degas (French), Nonna Mia (Italian), and Sante Fe (Tex-Mex). There are also some great bars in the area including Pal's Lounge, Finn McCool's Irish Pub and Swirl Wine Bar. If you want to catch some awesome tunes in the area, Chickie Wah Wah is nearby and the legendary clubs on Frenchman St. are just 12 minutes away. • Essence Festival 2014 was great!! Diana's home was great!! The beds were comfy, everything was clean and tidy!! It was clear Diana took time to put great artifacts and decor, my husband being the history buff that he is he really enjoyed that!! Lastly her neighbors were great they were very friendly and clearly look out for each other!

  • This place was so comfortable and cozy! Very "New Orleans" decor. It was close to the quarter. I have no complaints. 4 women stayed here comfortably, even with one bathroom. The beds were heavenly! Great Host!

  • Diana has a beautiful home! My mother, grandmother, sister and I had a wonderful long weekend stay and couldn't have been happier with our accommodations.

The backyard is a great little area for relaxing too! I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a calm and serene place to stay just outside of the main NOLA areas.

Diana had everything you could need for a weekend stay and even left suggestions for places to eat, activities and maps etc.

  • Diana is such a generous person to allow people to stay in her very special home. It was so perfect to stay in a place that reflects the history and feel of the original inhabitants of Mid City. One can really feel like they are taken back in time staying in her home, yet still have an amazing up to date chef's quality kitchen and washer etc. The neighborhood is well worth exploring, in addition to the other attractions in New Orleans.

Everything about it is amazing, from the beautiful furniture and art, the most comfy beds ever, the lovely backyard, and the neighborhood and proximity to just can't be in a better spot!!! Diana is wonderful, very easy to communicate with, and obviously loves her city. We will continue to make this an annual visit.

  • Diana's place was absolutely beautiful. It was amazingly decorated and had everything you would possibly need. The neighbourhood was well located and only a very short drive to downtown and the french quarter. If I ever come back to New Orleans, Diana's place will definitely be my first choice! Thanks Diani for a great stay!
