Glamping has never been better than in this cool, unique A-Frame. Our newest Airbnb Glampsite, Falling Waters boasts full-frontal views of the waterfall, lower pools, & cascades of Sweet Springs Creek. The best piece of real estate on the Property, this glampsite will simply astonish your expectations & impress your senses. Falling waters is off the grid, has a comfy bed, stays cool during the Summer, & is fully heated with propane in the Winter!

The space
. After April 1, 2025, this site will no longer allow vehicle access to the site, as was the case in the past. All guests booking after this date must park at the top of the Falls area, and walk down to the A-frame, this is about a 6-minute hike. This is not ideal for guests with mobility issues, or those bringing lots of camping gear. Please book Top of the Rock II if you require direct vehicle access to your campsite. Top of the Rock is accessible by vehicle and sits next to the Falls. We provide a lot of camping essentials so you do not need to bring much.

Site comes with the following amenities: 1 queen bed with memory foam mattress--Bedding is standard-- table & two chairs inside, as well as outdoor chairs; firepit with wood is standard; charcoal grill with grilling utensils; butane burner with water/coffee kettle; lighter; picnic table, battery lights. Excellent gas/propane heat is provided in the Winter. Portojohn toilet just steps away. Communal space access is open 24hours.

All our sites now come with RinseKits during warm months.

Guest access
*if you are arriving late at night and don’t have a 4x4 or AWD vehicle, we URGE you to book our Top of the Rock II cabin, which is more easily accessible by vehicle and at night— and it sits next to the falls.

Guests have access & private enjoyment of their site, as well as access to our communal space, which has restroom & kitchen--Wi-Fi hotspot, & camping supplies.

Please note that this listing requires a four wheel drive or all wheel drive capable vehicle to access this site directly. Our separate 2wd entrance is no longer available. If you have a 2x4 vehicle, you'll have to park near the site, but must walk about 6 minutes.

Other things to note
There is no running water or electricity nor is there direct bathroom at the site, but Porto john bathroom access is just across the creek; &, near the entrance, communal bathroom space is open 24-hours.

This site is heated with a 20,000 btu propane heater—20lb grill bottles are used. Propane is not included, but 2 tanks are provided at the site. During cold times, guests should plan for 1 bottle per day, generally speaking.

Maximum number of adults at this site is 2, but children are allowed. Please just confirm with us if you are bringing additional persons.

There is no cell service on the Property or WiFi at the site. We do provide WiFi access at the communal space and checkin barn.

My work: French Teacher/Entrepreneur
Speaks English and French
Having worked in many areas, I have much of my work experience & time in the service industry: managing at the restaurant level, and in events, & even at wineries as well. Although I love the service industry, my passion has always been teaching. But, I love working in nature, managing natural land, & restoring cars in my spare time. Most recently, I taught French in public schools, managed online learning programs in Richmond Public Schools, & I have my BA in French & Theatre, & my MA in French Literature from UVA. Born & raised in Florida, Melbourne/Ocala are both my home towns, but the Virginia’s have my heart! After finishing my MA & teaching French as an instructor at UVA, I ventured into ecotourism, camping & property/land management for my family properties. Currently, I operate an ecotourism business at our ranch & nature preserve, Beaverdam Falls in Alleghany County, Virginia. We operate glampsites through Tentrr, Airbnb rentals, among other things, & manage other lands & homes in WV and FL. I’m fortunate to do what I love, & to be in the great outdoors. We do not discriminate, & welcome ALL!
