The Space

Situated directly opposite Victoria Park and the Union Canal, this retro-looking apartment is located on the 5th floor with stunning views towards central London. It also has a small private balcony facing the park.

You will have the entire flat to yourself which consists of 2 bedrooms, good size lounge (with TV, PlayStation 2, and stereo w/iPod dock), kitchen, toilet and bathroom. Free WIFI, washing machine, and dishwasher. The master bedroom has a double bed and sleeps 2, the second bedroom has a bunk-bed and sleeps 2.

10 minutes walk to the nearest underground station, Mile End (Central or District Line), or there are several bus stops just outside the building. Alternatively Boris Bikes (rental bikes) are just down the road for cycling to town, in the park, or along the canal.

The nearest pub, The Crown, is just accross the road, and so is the amazing Pavillion Cafe which is next to the lake in Victoria Park. Then you have "Victoria Park Village" 5 minutes down the road which is full of pubs, cafes, and restaurants.

But as I am the owner of The Kenton pub I would naturally recommend that, its 15 minutes walk through the park on the north side via Victoria Park Village. And a FREE drink in The Kenton for each guest is a given:)

With this great location you can go for walks in the park, go along the canal to the great Broadway Market, short bus ride to party central in Dalston, only a stone throw from Columbia Road Market, Brick Lane and Shoreditch, or walk 5 minutes the other way and you are in Hackney Wick and the Olympic Park.

As I live in the apartment myself (except when subletting), please check the dates with me as I am flexible and might be able to rent it out on short notice. (Therefore my calendar is not always updated)

  • I stayed for 5 days with my mum and brother at this wonderful, clean, bright flat.

    My mum met Egil to get the keys and said he was very nice.

    It was wonderful to go for breakfast everyday at the Pavilion Cafe in Victoria park just downstairs.

    Totally recommendable as a base for a long london weekend.

  • My sister and I spent a great week at Egil's apartment. It is in a lovely location with views of the canal and the park. We always felt very safe while staying here. There is a lovely village through the park and some great eating areas close by. The public transport in the area made it very easy to get around London. The apartment is very spacious with a large living room and a separate, very well equipped kitchen. Egil was very easy to deal with and replied promptly to emails. Thanks for the great stay, Egil.

  • Great retro flat, full equiped well situated, (with a lot buses that make easy to move to all London) I recomend this flat, especially in spring/summer time, because Victoria Park is in front off, with a lovely village near.

  • We had a great stay!
    The flat was clean and very spacious and therefore perfect for the four of us. I especially liked the interior design of each room with retro furniture and details. The location is perfect with a view and perfect for an early morning run in the park. A special thanks also for the complementary drinks vouchers for the Kenton Pub whose atmosphere we liked as well. Thanks for a great stay in the best part of London- the East.

  • I have been at Egil's place with 3 girlfriends .of mine. The apartment is VERY nice and bigger than the avarage size of london's flats , which definitly makes the difference if you are a little group.
    The area is just fantastic, just in front of victoria park... U wake up, you step down the lift and you are surrounded by the green trees and the nice park activities!
    The house is clean, well decorated, dry and warm, the shower very hot for 4 persons, the place safe.
    Recommended.

  • We enjoed our stay in the flat a lot. Its location is good and both tube and bus station are very close. The flat is really nicely furnished and has everything needed. The view from the flat is great and the canals which are just next are one of the most beautiful places I visited in London.

  • Hi there, Egil's flat is really terrific and highly recommended to everybody! Thanks to such a beautiful and spacious place to stay our family felt at home in London from the very beginning. The rooms, bath and kitchen were very clean and are all tastefully equipped with vintage furniture. We also enjoyed to be quite central (situated between two tube stations) and at the same time in green surroundings. The view from the windows and balcony is simply - wow! Victoria park on the right, Regent's canal (perfect for jogging!!) on the left and the Crown pub just in front of the house - we couldn't have found a better place and would definitely come back next time we are in town. Communications and handing over respectively returning the key, worked also smoothly (there was even milk, water and orange juice awaiting us when we arrived very late :-) So thank you very much Egil, cheers, Claudia
