About this listing
...A small 720 square foot house (affectionately known as "The Sugar Shack" and perfect in its imperfection) in the historic Irish Channel. One block from best of Magazine Street -- restaurants and shops, grocery, bus line. It's really a great location, Includes full size futon, day bed and trundle mattress, small yard. Amenities include kitchen, washer/dryer, wireless access and cable tv. There's also a piano and a Nespresso espresso machine.
The Sugar Shack is as sweet as it sounds. Jon is very nice & accommodating, and the location is great!
Jon is a great host with an awesome property. Very prompt and easy to communicate with, amazing location, and super cool place with a great courtyard. Highly recommend!
Jon's pad was perfect. It was close enough to everything, including the French Quarter, that transportation wasn't an issue, but far enough from the chaos of that area. The place was charming and sweet, reminiscent of the city we were in. It was very clean and comfortable and we'd highly recommend it to anyone staying in the Crescent City.
I've stayed at this place on two separate trips with totally different groups and everyone loved it. It's very unique and has a lot of nostalgic charm in terms of decor. The beds are comfortable, the internet works, and there's always nespresso.
My favorite part about this place is the location. Tons of parking by the house. 2 blocks from great shopping and amazing food on Magazine St. There's a drugstore and bus stop just a few blocks away also. The sugar shack is a great place to stay if you want to enjoy NOLA like a local.
We had such a good time staying at Jon's place. It was a perfect home base for our group of four. The location was excellent - we always felt safe and the proximity to Magazine St. was great. Parking was never a problem and the outdoor patio area was gorgeous. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Jon very graciously hosted my friends and I after an extreme last minute request! He was very communicative and friendly, and replied quickly. Thank you again Jon!
