Casa Parva is a charming apartment located in the heart of a medieval village in Tuscany, Montisi. Casa Parva has just been restored and renovated completely to modern standards but restored to fully experience and capture the time and place that is Medieval Tuscany.
We have equipped and outfitted the house to meet our own standards and then added antiques, ethnic pieces collected from our travels and some of our books and favorite pieces of art.
Casa Parva is a house so 'true' it is meant to be lived in by our family and friends and now, our guests. It is ideal for a variety of dining experiences, cooking classes and tastings.
We are a tour guide and a wine making consultant, so Casa Parva is conceived as a place to showcase the best of Tuscany and to high culinary standards - a kitchen to cook in, teach in and a dining chair to settle into for a long, relaxed evening of talk and enjoyment.
In addition, we are opening a wine-bar in the cellars of Casa Parva and you will be welcomed to discover the best wines and cheeses of all Italy!
Antonella is a delightful and caring host. Her apartment is absolutely perfect and can serve as a base for day trips to beautiful nearby towns in Tuscany and Umbria. Antonella also has a lovely wine bar next door where you can try local and regional wines personally chosen by her husband, a renown wine expert. All in all, Casa Parva should be a destination stop. We very much look forward to returning soon.
We came to Casa Parva on the recommendation of a friend, which meant high expectations going in. Everything about the apartment, town of Montisi, but most of all our incredible host Antonella exceeded our expectations by a mile.
The apartment is a dream - perfectly decorated with antiques, all the comforts of newly renovated modern living, while still maintaining the feel of a medieval village - I wish I could move in! Antonella's generosity with local knowledge, activity suggestions and background as a tour guide and wine expert made our experience truly special. With picturesque towns 20 minutes in every direction, Montisi provided the perfect quiet escape while still offering a personality all its own; excellent restaurants, Antonella's wine bar, and incredible views in every direction. This is the place if you are looking to explore Tuscany!
It's not often that a place is actually even more beautiful than the photos, but this was the case with Casa Parva. The old building has been re-fashioned with modern appliances and luxuries, the heat actually works, and the furnishings couldn't be prettier. It's straight out of a design magazine! Then there is the owner, Antonella, who provided breakfast foods, gifts, and loads of advice. We told her a bit about our tastes and she seemed to know the perfect places to go. A highlight was lunch at a nearby organic farm. In fact, we barely opened our guide book as the apartment came with comprehensive notes on where to eat, tour, and drink. We were welcomed like family in the wine bar downstairs (also owned by Antonella) and the quaint town quickly felt like home. We can't wait to return. This is a perfect place to go if you want to explore Tuscan towns since it's centrally located amidst so many (Pienza, Montepulciano, Lucignano, to name just a few).
