  • This is such a cute and lovely cabin! The kitchen is fully equipped -- it has everything you might need to prepare breakfast or another meal. The cabin is very quiet and peaceful. It is a very short drive or a beautiful 15 min walk into town. Cobh exceeded our expectations -- the town and church are gorgeous.

Deirdre and everyone on her team are so nice and welcoming. Check in was a breeze.

  • Deirdre's cabin is super-cozy, fun, and just rustic enough to make you think you're further away from a large city like Cork than you really are -- it's the perfect place to unwind for a spell. The location is walking distance from the sights of Cobh, but also a quick, convenient train ride to Cork, making it a good base for exploring both cities. Deirdre herself was communicative and attentive from check-in to check-out, even going so far as to offer me some homeopathic remedies when I sprained my ankle walking around town!

  • A lovely place to stay in Cobh. We were welcomed with a cup of tea, everyone was very helpful. The Cabin had everything for self catering, which was nice after several busy days travelling. We found it to be comfortable, clean and peaceful. Pleasant walk into Cobh.

  • We stayed at Deirdre's after two weeks of traveling around the UK and Ireland. It was the perfect place to unwind after a lot of hustle and bustle. The cabin is adorable and has all the essentials for cooking, which we took advantage of. We felt very welcomed upon arrival and overall just had a relaxing, comfortable few days exploring Cobh and the surrounding area. Very highly recommend, especially for couples!

  • Where to begin? Deirdre of course. Charming in every way. Christine and myself were taken by her generous spirit and zest for life. Her cosy cabin was just perfect for a true Irish holiday. Be sure to wake early morning as the native habitat welcomes you with their wondrous chatter.

I was tentative at first as this was our first use of airbnb and the first stop on our holiday. I also tend to like my privacy. No worries. Privacy is provided, if desired, but, like us, you may succumb to the easy nature and hospitality of the host and the surroundings. I write this while still on holiday and Christine and I still speak daily of Deirdre and the beautiful experience she provided. Cheers!

  • Stayed at Diedre's wonderful lodge for 3 nights and it was a wonderful experience. Fully equipped with kitchen, shower, heating, excellent bed with electric blanket, tv and space to park the car on the property. Her two dogs are lovely. Would love to visit again in the near future ... this time bringing our own dog along.

  • Such a great little place to stay! The cabin was cozy and private, with all the amenities anyone could need. Upon our arrival Deirdre offered us a welcome drink and she gave us a key to the main house so we could enjoy the fire and wireless (there isn't any internet access inside the cabin).

Deirdre gave us a fantastic recommendation for dinner in Cobh, and upon our return we found she had left us some pastries for dessert. Such a nice treat.

I wound up getting sick my first day in Ireland and spent my first day in Cobh in bed with a fever. Deirdre was kind enough to offer a holistic remedy. Her hospitality was great.

We would highly recommend staying with Deirdre in Cobh!
