This is truly an amazing place. And my best rbnb experience so far!
First of all, Roberta was amazing, I haven't had the chance to met her personally but she was really nice, extremely helpful and flexible. A friend of her was waiting for us when we got there and everything was extremely well organized.
And the place...
A beautiful, new, clean appartment in front of one of the most amazing beach in Dominican Republic. I have travelled around DR but I can this beach was the best.
What an immense pleasure to wake up everything morning and take a morning cup of tea overlooking the ocean.
The appartment is beautiful, very spacious, we were 6 and had plenty of space. Fully equipped, there is everything else you need. Some of the most amazing resort are next door :)
Roberte's place is amazing and deserve the highest ratings
I had a tremendous time in this 3 bedroom apartment. It was right on the beach with two great restaurants right next door. The beach was incredible and the area was very safe.
I will definitely go back.
The one negative that I can post is the Wifi in this beach area was weak. I do not think it is Roberta's fault as she is always very attentive. However, do not expect the internet to be state of the art. Guests at the nearby all inclusive we're also complaining.
Thank you very much Egerton for your review. I am really glad you enjoyed the apartment and the beach with its (website hidden) would really be a pleasure to have you back in my property. We are really work strong on the internet, right this week the company was replacing the previous installation with a new one and in a few days we will get an internet conection for each apartment that will avoid weakness of signal. Thanks again and all the best to you. Roberta
It was difficult finding the apartment but Roberta was nice enough to reimburse me for the costs including part of the cab ride and international calls. He told me he will leave a detailed description (in both english and spanish) on how to arrive at his apartment so that the rider can just read it to the cab driver. The a/c stopped working but Roberta sent someone over immediately to fix it. The view is incredible and I highly recommend staying at his place rather than the overpriced resorts with nasty food.
Roberta’s apartment is amazing. We had originally booked the apartment for nine days but extended our stay because my wife and I were having such an incredibly, wonderful time. First – the house is right on the beach and it is a beautiful, white sand beach with the warm, clean, clear Caribbean Sea at the end of it. There are two patios that over look ocean and beach. The largest one faces nothing but water, sand and sky. We got up every morning and had our breakfast and exercised looking at the most inspiring landscape. Second – the interior of the apartment is large – three bedrooms, each with it’s own bathroom. The kitchen is just off the first large balcony allowing us to cook without ever loosing the sight of why we had come. Third – the food – great – both the local restaurants and local vendors that sell fruit off of trucks in the streets nearby and the young men who sell fish and lobster fresh caught with their owns. We bought two lived lobsters on the beach one morning and we ate lobster for lunch for two days straight. My wife was recovering from a recent operation so we didn’t want to go far for anything and didn’t have to. Right next door is a restaurant opened all day and sometimes into the night. We ate lunch there sometimes and had their grilled steak one night (which only happens one night a week) – delicious. They also made a very good Pina Colada. In a complex – also right door (Los Corales)– is a very good Asian restaurant – Balicana - (terrific Thai curries, stir fried fish and vegetables) and just outside of the gates to Los Corales is a pizza/pasta joint that served a great steak and a very decent pasta carbonara. However, our favorite place was the Huracan ((website hidden)(phone number hidden)-r(phone number hidden)-Huracan_CafePunta_Cana_La_Altagracia_Province_Dominican_Republic.html)– a restaurant which is a five minute walk up the beach. Great, great food and décor and it opens right onto the beach. The place is run by ex-pat Italians. I can’t recommend it highly enough. Fourth – the bugs – there aren’t any. Don’t know how it is that a tropical place like this has nothing more than a handful ants but we didn’t spot else anything while we were there. If you have to choose between one of the all inclusive hotels that share the same beach and this apartment, you would be mad not to take Roberta’s.
