Our location is halfway between the Station and the City Centre, perfect for the travelling visitor. This quaint little room with a double bed, is rumoured to have been used by Charles Darwin in 1829. Whilst the double bed fits in snugly, please be aware this is an old building with traditional low ceilings and doorways so it could feel small if you are used to bigger spaces. We hope our guests will enjoy this style of authentic ancient architecture of Cambridge from the 1800's.

Sadly during my stay in Cambridge at Kelley’s place, I did experience several issues that could have been fixed with better communication. You have to get up two flights of stairs to get to the room and according to Kelley’s description on the website, she says that the staircas…

Please be aware, we let travellers carry their own suitcases as we don't think it's fair to expect staff to carry excessive baggage. Our advert makes clear, the staircase is narrow so please be prepared. It's important to note generally, those who bring less luggage do seem to enjoy their travelling experience more.

I had previously booked with Kelley and then seamlessly added an additional two days to accommodate a schedule change. I love staying above the shop when in Cambridge. Ideal location for those attending workshops or conferences, midway between the station and city center.

This was my second stay in a room above the shop. It was lovely as usual. Kelley always leaves fresh fruit and fresh bread from the shop and there is always great conversation with the other guests. The location is ideal for those coming for research at the university or museums…

We absolutely loved our stay at Kelley's. Many people were available to help us during check in and show us the property. Having the shop right underneath meant getting cakes, bread, and fruit that otherwise was able to be sold anymore, but absolutely delicious - for free! The pr…
