Pacific Heights condominium on the top floor of a three unit building in a prime Pacific Heights location. Views of the bay and Alcatraz. This top floor unit shares no walls and feels more like a home. The living/ dining area has skylights and 16 foot ceilings, hardwood floors, 42 inch HD TV (with premium cable package) and internet. The dining area has seating for six.
The kitchen features full refrigerator, hi-end gas stove with four burners. There is also an electric oven, microwave and all other essential kitchen items.
The master bedroom has a king bed and a flatscreen TV. The master bath features two sinks, a hot tube and a shower. There are two decks off the master bedroom. The lower deck has a gas barbecue and the roof deck has porch furniture and an umbrella.
The guest bedroom has a queen bed with empty closets. There is a full second bathroom with shower.
There is a office located off the living room that has glass doors and can be completely
enclosed. Since it has a closet, it is technically a third bedroom. There is a couch that folds out into a bed. Two very friendly adults could sleep there as well. There is a desk with a view of the bay.
The entire unit has a very clean, uncluttered look and feel. Perfect for two or even three couples or a family on vacation in the best neighborhood in San Francisco. Speaking of the neighborhood, ignore the TVs, the premium cable package, the gourmet kitchen! Why would you stay in at night? Two blocks down the hill and you are on Union Street, with all its shops, bars and restaurants. Walk two more blocks, cross Lombard and you are on Chestnut Street, in the heart of the Marina. Two movie theaters, more shops, bars and restaurants.
Going the other way up the hill, it is just a few blocks to Filmore Street and all of the amenities there. Once on Filmore, it is just a short walk to Japan Town and the Jazz District. Finally, go east from the house, cross Van Ness and you are on Polk Street with all of its amenities. Again, why stay in at night?
Downsides: stairs. 51 exactly. That is how you get to the top floor.
Schools: This neighborhood has several prestigious private grade schools with playgrounds. So there is the occasional sound of laughing, playing children.
Quiet, respect the neighbors and the neighborhood. Try not to wear shoes, especially on the hardwood floors. Please no late night noise.
If anything breaks or does not work, please contact me as soon as possible by phone or email. It is very important for both the BnB insurance and my home warranty policy.
Please do not move the heavy furniture.
If you do use the fireplace, artificial logs only. Also observe Clear Air Days.
The trash is under the outside staircase, behind the small door. Please leave the trash there when departing.
The reservation was canceled 45 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
This was a brilliant flat to stay in for our recent trip to San Fran. The location was perfect and had us feeling like we lived in the heart of Pacific Heights. We especially liked the rooftop terrace as it gave us our own little piece of the outside world to curl up and enjoy a cup of coffee, lunch or a glass of wine. I've stayed in several San Fran properties and this is one of the best! Thanks, Richard! We'll definitely be back.
Richard has a very beautiful home in a great location to conveniently explore San Francisco. A car is not needed or recommended due to parking restrictions. We used uber and never had to wait for a ride. Richard was available for any questions we had.
Richard's place was wonderful. Great layout, great location and great character. It has a lovely fireplace and a beautiful roof deck.

Had a wonderful week in SF. Richard's appt was a great spot to feel like one of the locals from day 1. Good coffee and a range of organic food choices in easy walking distance. A spacious pad to explore from, highly recommended.
